"Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God." -Hebrew 12:2Enduring all the pain now for the future joy Christ has prepared for us.
Who said enduring the pain of this life is easy? It never was, and it will never be easy.
Everyone is struggling- financially, physically, mentally, emotionally and importantly spiritually.
And as a Christian, we are not exempted to such struggles infact Jesus warns us that in this world we will have tribulation (John 16:33). But He never allow us to go thru this life alone... for He knows how it feels to be in pain and be left out alone more than anyone.
This verse helps us out how we can endure all pains and struggles in this life, by looking unto Jesus. Since we can't save ourselves, and that we are only saved by God's grace... and so in all our struggles we get to overcome it with God's help by His grace because His grace is not only pardon but it is power as well. It is important for us believers to endure this life as the Scripture said those who will endure to the end will be saved.
Christians are to follow Jesus and to look unto His life (how He died and now He is alive). Jesus endured it all for He was looking at His future glory- His resurrection, and our salvation, and to be with the Father in heaven, those were the future joy He was looking at that is why He overcome the world and even death. What are we looking at in times of trouble? Or what motivates us to continue fighting even when it hurts?
In order for us to endure all life's challenges and be victorious in all our battles is that if we look unto the One who has overcome the world. Look unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith and hold on to the future joy He has prepared for us to be with Him in heaven.
Whatever it is you are going thru today, you can do it... you can do all things thru Him, thru Christ Jesus- our Saviour.
To God be the glory!
