"In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul." -Psalms 94:19
Anxieties and worries are part of life, that makes us troubled... it's aim is to defeat us, it is a way of the enemy to distract us from God... when we are overwhelmed with fear, anxiety and worries of life, it can lead us to our destruction. To those who didn't know will continue to live in them every single day 'til sin takes over them and death will be inevitable.
But to those who are in the light, and continues to dwell in light will never see darkness even in this world. How so? Though yes in this world there will be tribulation but God has given us peace in this miserable world we live in for now... Though we are in this dark world the Light in with us and in us thru our faith... Though the world is full of death leading path God has laid down on us a Way to escape death not just that but He has also given us life, life everlasting through the One who died for us to live and He is the Life we seek and desire... He is the Word that comforts us, that reminds us of God's amazing grace and incredible promises for those who will persevere and endure to the end.
Aside from the Word, who is Jesus Christ, that comfort us from the worries and cares of this world... God has given us the Holy Spirit, who dwells in us being God's temple... God being intimate to us His beloved. The closes God can ever be to us, dwelling in us. As Jesus said, The Holy Spirit is our comforter, whom God has sent to those who believe in Him, our seal... that indeed we are His and He is ours. And in all these our soul delights. The joy, in the truest sense, that we so seek can only be found in God... in His Word and Spirit.
Remember that the only way the worries and anxieties of this world can get through our being is when our joy is subject on things that fades.
Where is your joy? Is it in the Lord?
May your joy spring from knowing and loving God, in the One who fade not... as it is written Heaven and earth will fade but my Words will never fade (Mark 13:31). Remember that! :)
To God be the glory!
