"And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good? But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;" -1 Peter 3:13-14
How can one rejoice in time of suffering?
The way for us to be able to rejoice in whatever problems/struggles we face is the point, One, when we consider ourselves partakers of Christ suffering, as He suffered for us to be saved...Him being our King dies for His creation, counting us worthy... If He didn't thought that way, mankind would have been extinct, worst gone. Next, is that thing of our reward at the end of this battle. We are victorious but aside from that our reward is at the end of our physical life, an eternal life will blossom because of our faith in Whom we are saved.
Knowing those two things & believing in it, nothing can harm us by any means knowing we have a Saviour & He is mighty. Satan can only kill our body but not our soul, his goal is for our soul to die & rot in hell with him but to God be the glory for He has given us an option to be saved even if we are unworthy of it, and so we rejoice and not be troubled of what will happen with us in this world for this is not our home, heaven is our home and if we are to die physically, we are to rejoice because we will rise up and dwell in heaven with our Father, that indeed is a far greater joy and it cannot be compared with anything. As it was written,
"For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us." -Romans 8:18
The glory that will be revealed to us is cannot be compared, cannot be. Therefore, we rejoice... all the more when we are to face struggles and experience pain... rejoice because it means God's miracles are on its way to you, just have faith.
To God be the glory!
