"But Jesus took him, if thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth." -Mark 9:23

Believing makes it all possible.

In this world full of impossibilities, we, as christian are taught to believe that all things are possible when we believe.
But sad to say, we oftentimes misuse this verse... Misuse in the sense of a wrong motive and belief. The main point of this powerful verse is for God's greater glory and honor, not ours rather His.
We must therefore consider our motive, in this verse if we read the previous verses Jesus was talking with a father whose son was possess with the dumb and deaf spirit... the father then asked Jesus to show compassion and to help his son and Jesus told him of this verse,
'if thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.'

If you will believe, all things are possible. The key point is to believe. Without believing it is impossible to expect something from God, i mean how can you expect something from a thing you don't even believe.
And if you ask what to believe? For it all to be possible... The answer is Believe in God, that He is able to uphold you, to save you and to deliver you from all kinds of evil in this corrupt world. That is what Jesus was looking for, faith. Complete faith in God. Trusting Him wholly and without reservation, that kind of faith.
Possessing such faith and with a right motive, that is for God's glorify and honor, indeed all things are possible.

To God be the glory!
