"Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the Lord." -Leviticus 19:18 KJV

Love is such a deep word.

When you look at the world we live in right now, you see evil everywhere in different forms... it's scary. I see street children, mentally challenged people wandering around, news of murder, calamities, family members killing their own, people not helping each other, and hate all over the place... it's sickening. Why? a world created by a loving & perfect God has become ruin, by whom? by sinner who fall short of God's glory... who are incapable of obeying God and so has brought destruction unto the world and importantly has ruin relationship, our relationship to God.

But there's still a cure, and it's called love. If there was love all those things shouldn't have happened for love covers all sin.

"Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins." -Proverbs 10:12

With love you wouldn't want to hurt or harm anyone rather you would want the best for them and provide and help them in any way you possible can.

We are commanded to love. God's command can be express in a word alone, LOVE. He said, 'I AM THE LORD.' 'Love thy neighbour as thyself.' Is it hard to love? It depends, right?! to your family you might say, 'No. It's easy to love.' But how about to those whom you are not acquainted with? How about those people who have harmed you in any way... your enemies? Can you love them? 

Who is your neighbour that you are commanded to love?

To the girl who sits in front of you, to the boy at the back who bully you, to the person on the side whom you don't know or chose not to know because you thought, 'who cares? I am not the only one who doesn't give a damn!', to the one sleeping on the left side whom you thought is your friend yet she talks behind your back- mocks you, the one passing by looking at you pitifully but did nothing to stop the bully, to your family who knows nothing about the real you... and to many others who are far and are busy with life who can't go to check on you because, well... they don't know you. Everyone is your neighbour. And to each and everyone we are commanded to love even our enemies (Matthew 5:44).

I always say this, it doesn't matter who they are, what matters most is who you are... You are a child of God and so act like one. Our God is love and we are to love, we are created to love.

"Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love." -1 John 4:7-8

Does that mean we should allow the bully to bring us down? No! Never! But it doesn't mean we should hate then and go get revenge. That's just not how God works. We can't overcome evil with evil rather with good.

"Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." -Romans 12:21

Don't seek revenge and hold hatred rather seek God and hold on in His love. Hatred and revenge will only lead you to your own destruction, worst death. Seek God with all of your heart, seek His guidance and trust in Him alone.

When i feel the verge of wanting to get even with anyone or when hate starts to crawl over me... I always think of that person being in pain... What makes him do the things he do? What was the turning point of his life that made him that way? Something or someone must have hurt him really bad... We are all in pain. Life is hard. It was never easy, as Christian we know Jesus took the hard road in this life yet He was victorious because He is alive after all. I say, pray for that person sincerely or cast all your problems to God. No one else can help us except God, only Him. Only Him has laid down a solution, a one time solution to our greatest eternal problem and to all of our earthly problems as well, He laid down His only begotten Son for our salvation. So in reality, you don't have a problem... go and tell satan the liar about that! Satan deceives people, blinds people and confuse them so that they will end up in the wrong way, he confuse people by giving a lot of ways in this life in an attempt to cover the only way God has prepared for us all... Love is the only way for us to live and if not what's the point in living! And love has a name, Jesus. Without Him you can't love and live.
