Day 15

When Jesus died in the cross the last thing He said to everyone, before He came back and saw them the next day, was, "It is finished." The mission He had been working toward since He was born on earth and really since sin entered the garden was done. Jesus was the bridge across the chasm between humans and God. Anyone could be forgive for their sins, as long as they asked and meant what they said. When God says forgiven, He means He already put away the sin and will never bring it up again. We often still hold it against ourselves but in God's eyes it is gone.

When we ask for forgiveness it needs to come from our heart. Not I'm sorry I hurt him but he deserved it because bla bla bla, and not I'm sorry I said that to her but when she annoys me again I'll say it again. When we ask for forgiveness we need to be truly sorry and recognize what we did was wrong. Then we need to make an actual effort not to do it again. If we mess up God will still forgive us again and again but soon you will stop asking for forgiveness and He will stop giving it.
