It's ok to have other interests as long as they don't get in the way of you and God. Most things can actually bring you closer to God if you go about them with the right attitude. Sports can remind you of God's strength, books can open your eyes, games can bring you closer to loved ones. At the same time though they can very easily become a distraction from God, if the focus becomes winning or you forget who is the author of all creation. Even doing good things can become a barrier from God, when writing about Him if it suddenly becomes about the views or votes you get instead about bringing more people to God's salvation then it becomes a problem. God should be the center of your life because He is more important than any temporary thing on this earth.
