A lot of people know all the rules about Christianity. A lot of people have a bible verses lined up to say to you for every situation. Those things aren't bad, it's good to know bible verses and it's good to know a lot about Christianity. However those things often don't really bring people closer to God. You can very easily win an argument and loose a person. Most of the time you can't argue with someone and say something that makes them start to follow God. If you listen to them, what they're going through and what they believe, and then tell them about why you follow God it has a much higher chance of turning them towards God. People really aren't convinced by a bunch of verses in the Bible, it doesn't make the want to follow God more or listen to you. Being told they're wrong often won't go over too well with whoever you're talking to so you need to make sure that you aren't forgetting they have a complicated story behind what they think. You have to listen to them and hear what they're saying and then you can talk to them about God and how amazing He is.
