Devotions; Defeating the Destroyer

Day 166

God is good. He unzipped time and stepped into our messy, awful world and lived with us not as a Superman or someone demanding worship but a a teacher leading us the right direction. He healed broken, He talked to poor, and He forgave sinners. Then humans tortured and killed Him because they didn't like what He was saying because He pointed out what they were doing wrong, where they weren't doing right, and He told them He is God. So we killed Him and three days later He came back from the dead proclaiming a message of forgiveness to those who had murdered Him and everyone else. God's actions prove Him to be good everything He has done is good. There are somethings where we might not see His good; natural disasters, some parts of the Old Testament, and rules He's given us to point out a few. Just because we don't see His good shining through that one moment doesn't mean it's not there, the sun is always in the sky not just in the sky during the day. God works in ways we don't understand sometimes but trust He is making something good out of it no matter what happens.
