You can't go through life alone. You just can't, you won't be happy, you won't be excited, you won't be able to live the great life you were meant to live. Without social contact people start to go crazy because we were designed to build relationships with others. You need people to lean on through hard times and people to smile with through good times. Those people can be siblings, parents, or friends, as long as you have people who care about you and support you.

At the same time make sure the people you're hanging out with aren't leading you to bad places. They don't all need to be Christian but they do need to be pushing you in the right directions. You can't hang out with a bad group of people and turn them good. They will make you like them, now bad and good are a lot more blurred most of the time but you aren't going to change them into doing good stuff like you. This is not me saying ignore those who are 'bad' (for lack of a better word) you should be kind to them, but don't let those people be the people you're around all the time. You may think you can resist their bad habits but overtime the things they do won't seem so bad and then slowly you'll start doing those same things that you used to think were horrible. However if you are mostly around people who can help you grow  in your faith or help you be the best version of yourself then those are the habits you will get from you're friends.
