God is consistent in everything He does. He never changes and is still the same loving merciful God who helped the Israelites out of slavery. He loves us enough to die for us even if we don't even look at Him in return. God has all the power in the universe, correction He created the universe. He knows every moment of your life and He knows just how it will play out.
In comparison humans are weak, unreliable, and harsh. We are always changing and typically pick the things that are worst for us. Countries have tried every way to do things except trusting in God. When America was founded most people did follow God and it won nearly impossible wars and revolutionized insanely quickly. Other than that nations have gone without God and they are now gone.
The logical answer is to trust the one who has our best interest in mind and knows everything that will happen to us. The one who remained constant in the eye of the storm we created for ourselves should be the one we follow with all our hearts. God will lead you through life if you give Him the reigns, He isn't stumbling around in darkness instead He brings light to us all.
