What we can't see is really the most important things in our life. You can't see love, kindness, hope, or joy but without them life becomes dull and worthless. Without God the same things happens, we need God more than we realize. Jesus told us this multiple times when He talked about bread of life and living water. We need food and water to live but without bread of life and living water, which only comes from God, then we die spiritually which is really more important than physical life in the long run. It's never too late to be reborn, when you are spiritually dead then you can always turn your life back to God and He will forgive you and bring you back to life. That doesn't mean your actions won't have consequences it just means God will forgive you and give your His fruits of the spirit so you come alive again through God. None of this can be seen but that doesn't make it any less real or important, think about air we need air to breathe but we can't see it. Your spiritual life is real it's just matter of wether it's dead or alive.
