We all have problems in our lives and we all have dark places that have left huge, ugly scars on our lives. Jesus had those too, He lived on Earth and He struggled like all of us. Then the darkest moment of His life came and He was killed on a cross. Crosses are everywhere today in Christianity, what do they represent today? Love, redemption, mercy, resurrection, not at all what you would be thinking when you looked and saw the darkest moment of your life. Yet that's what the cross means and what it's brought to us. When Jesus says carry your cross and follow me He means that darkest place in your life and be willing to see how God made amazing things come from it. Come to Him and your dark places will be full of His light. You will still have the scars but they will be reminders of God's glory and mercy instead of the pain they were before.
