Whatever you may think you can't really do two things at once. It's just your brain switching between two tasks very quickly, that's fine when you're doing laundry and listening to music but other things require more attention. You can't do other things and really build your relationship with God. Yes you can talk to Him and it is does build your relationship to talk with Him while doing other things but while you're busy you can't get to the deeper levels of faith. I am bad about braiding my hair to get ready for bed and praying to God at the same time and having my concentration split between the two, and I either don't think about what I'm saying or I have long gaps in my pray where I just for us on braiding. I tell myself that God needs to be my priority but I still do other things and somehow all those other things seem to squeeze God out of my mind temporarily. You need to have time reserved just for God so that you can grow in your faith and grow closer to God. Talking to Him throughout your day is important too and you should do it, but don't let talking to God in the midst of all your other activities replace having a time to be with Him.
