Devotions; Defeating the Destroyer

People look up to you. You may not know who they are or realize they are looking up to you but someone is following you. Some people have more people looking up to them than others but there is someone following you. Be a good example for them. Show them a good relationship with God and how you should talk talk to others. Don't pretend to be someone you're not or put up a facade like you're perfect. Do your best to be a good influence on the people watching you which you do by following God. Many people don't get to see someone who follows God closely and correctly very much and you can be that person for them. Show people who God is through your actions so that they can come to know God through knowing you. Show God's character through the way you act so that people can see who He is because of how you act as a follower of Him. Don't be so careless with words and actions people will mimic you even if it's something you did once in a bad day that might be the moment someone looks at you and starts looking up to you. It's not realistic for you to be perfect all the time but if you're closer to God the fewer mistakes you make.
