Devotions; Defeating the Destroyer

Day 35

Everyday a war goes on inside your mind. Satan screams for your attention from all angle of the world through people, ads, shows, books. He is much more powerful than you, alone you might be able to win a couple battles but ultimately he will sneak up on you and you will lose. Your life will become more miserable with every battle you lose and one defeat leads to another. Eventually you ask God for help and He changes the tide of the war. He gives you boots to share His word, they give you courage to actually go out and do it without fear and in that you win a battle. He will give you a belt of truth which is both His truth protecting you and being honest instead of using lies like the enemy. God will present you with a breastplate of righteousness and His rightness will guide you to the right things and protect you from the enemy. You will find a shield of faith in your hand given to you so you will be protected against the enemy's blows.He will give you a helmet of salvation on your head to keep you from believing the lies of the enemy. Finally God will present you with a sword of His word so that you can fight the enemy with the truth written in the bible. With this amour and God's help when you focus you can beat the enemy, sometimes you will still lose but you can get back up and fight again to defeat Satan.
