I have always followed Christ at some level. Many places in my life I have had doubts and my faith was very shallow. At many times I didn't understand God's importance or even doubted His existence. Last year however I hit a breakthrough in my faith I don't remember what started but all of a sudden I was God's child. My questions still remain but one of the things I realized is that not knowing everything about God does not prevent you from following Him and it does not prevent Him from being real and important.
It's good to ask questions about faith and God, without questions it's very difficult for your faith to grow. First ask God re question and really talk through it with Him. Read the Bible and an answer may come to you, another great option is a pastor or someone else who has studied God's word. It's ok to still wonder about a question after you have searched for an answer just know that the question shouldn't hinder you from loving God and becoming closer to Him.
