Devotions; Defeating the Destroyer

Day 52

Whenever you're fighting against things one of the most beautiful things to do is give up. Give up and let the situation all into God's hands. We are often taught that giving up is for the weak, to never give up. However giving in to God's plan and giving up your control completely is one of the bravest things you can ever do. Taking the life you've been working so hard to control, giving it to someone else and having no idea what will happen now takes a lot of courage and being able to do it daily by giving God control over your life is incredible. When you truly live like that it frees you from worry a because you know whatever happens you're in God's hands. To live like that you need to have to have faith that God is real, He does love you, and He will guide you. Faith is believing what you can't see and it's one of the hardest things for me, it also happens to be one of the most important. Faith is just about trusting God and there's no easy way to do that, I try to remember all the reasons I believe in God and Christianity to help me root my faith.
