*Aquaman*

You were sitting impatiently at the bar where you and Arthur met. He promised to meet you there at 14:00 and it was currently 14:38.

You were usually a patient person but you hadn't seen Arthur in months and you missed him.

"Yeah, that was fun," you heard Arthur say.

You gasped and quickly ran to the door of the bar. You were just about to hug your best friend but stopped when you saw him laughing it up with a redhead.

"Arthur," you said. "Hey."

He looked up and gave his signature smile. He took you into his arms and let out a sigh.

"Hey," he said after pulling away. "You look amazing N/N."

You blushed at the compliment and said 'thank you'.

"This is Mera," he said and he gestured to the redhead.

Your smile dropped once you got a proper look at her face. She was beautiful and she made you feel slightly insecure.

"Mera, this is Y/N," Arthur told her while gesturing to you.

"The one you were talking about?" Mera asked him quietly.

"Yes my queen," he smiled back and you felt a pang of jealousy hit strike your heart.

"Let's go find our table shall we?" you asked with a clenched jaw.

TIME SKIP

You were done. Done with this meet up. Done with today. Just, done.

Arthur and Mera had just spent the last three hours whispering and laughing it up with each other and every time you tried to enter the conversation they would either ignore you or acknowledge you for a second then go back to their own conversation.

You eventually gave up on trying and got up to leave.

"Y/N, where are you going?" Arthur asked.

"Home," you answered simply and left before he could say anything else.

A huge part of you hoped that he would run after you or even try to stop you but he never did.

ANOTHER TIME SKIP

"Don't do it, Megara. Don't fall in love," you warned the character of the movie.

But once you saw Meg sigh while holding the flower Hercules gave her, you knew it was too late. You smacked your lips at her stupidity.

"Fool," you said bitterly.

You were about to start shouting at the TV again but you heard a knock on your door.

You groaned and went to go answer it.

"What is it? What do you—" you stopped when you saw Arthur standing in front of you.

"Mind if I come in?" he asked.

Reluctantly, you moved out of the way and let him in. He walked into the living room and chuckled when he saw the movie you were watching.

"Hercules? Really?"

You simply shrugged.

"So I like Disney, shoot me."

He chuckled again before turning to you. He bit his lip and gave you a once over.

"No, you can't do that" you said.

"Do what?" he asked you.

"Give me that look and expect me to forget that you ignored me all day long," you told him.

"Y/N—"

"No, Arthur, no. You don't get to sweet talk yourself out of this one. Today was literally the first time I've seen you in months and you spent it all talking to Mera. I understand that you have feelings for her but..."

"Whoa, whoa, whoa," he stopped you. "Feelings for Mera? What?"

"Yeah, you have feelings for Mera," you said disappointedly. "And I'm fine with that. Just as long as you're happy right?"

"Y/N, I don't have feelings for Mera."

"You don't?" you asked a little too quickly.

"No, I don't," he said.

"Well then how come you spent our lunch talking to her?"

"Because we were talking about you," Arthur could see you slowly getting angry. "Not in that way."

"What other way is there?" you asked him in an annoyed tone.

"The type of way where I talk about how much I love you," he admitted.

You breath hitched in your throat.

"W-what?" your asked.

"I spent all of today telling Mera all about you, the way that I have been the last few months," Arthur said.

"But earlier on today you said to her, 'yes my queen'. If you actually had feelings for me then you wouldn't have called her your queen."

"I meant, 'yes, my queen'. As in, you are my queen," he held your hands in his and flashed you a charming smile.

You smiled back in return.

"So..." you trailed off. "You love me?"

Arthur playfully groaned and rolled his eyes at you.

"I just said I do," he whined.

"Well, I want you to say it again," you whined back.

"Fine then," he cleared his throat. "I love you, My Queen."

"I love you too, My King."
