"Brown skin girl, this poem's for you
I'm entranced and enchanted by everything you do
I can't get over the way your eyes shine
Every part of me wishes you were mine
Your curly black mane and infectious smile
Makes every single day worth while
I don't even know your name but that's okay
'Cause you don't know mine either and I prefer it that way
And I hope you know that all these words are true
Because brown skin girl, this poem's for you, " Harrison recited.

Everyone in the room started clicking their fingers and cheering for Harrison. Everyone loved it but, honestly speaking, he wouldn't have cared if the entire world loved it. He wrote that poem for one person and was hoping that, that one person heard it.

Every Tuesday, Harrison would come to this poetry/ coffee place called 'Coffee And Poetry', (not original, I know) because he knew that every Tuesday, that's where she would be. He met her about two months ago.

It was a Tuesday and the rain was pouring heavily. He needed to hide away from it so he went into Coffee And Poetry. He was immediately met with a comforting warmth and a heavenly coffee smell. The place was fairly empty, only about twelve people in there —not including the workers— and everyone seemed to be minding their own business.

But something drew him to a certain curly haired beauty that was sitting in the corner and quietly reading a book. He walked over to her, started talking to her and they instantly clicked. Yet to this day he still doesn't know her name.

He walked off the stage and went to his favourite table where his favourite girl was waiting for him with a smile.

"So, what'd you think?" Harrison asked her.

"You really mean all those words you said up there?" she asked back.

"Yeah," he answered.

"Y/N," she said simply.

"What?"

"My name. It's Y/N," she clarified. "I know you said that you preferred us not knowing each other's names but—"

"Harrison," he interrupted. "That's my name."

Y/N smiled widely and her eyes twinkled.

"Cool."
