*iCarly*
The elevator was so quiet you could literally heat a pin drop. Neither you nor Freddie wanted to address the elephant in the room.
"She wasn't talking about us," Freddie eventually said.
"I know," you nodded. "But why did it feel like she was?"
"I don't know," Freddie shrugged. "Maybe because everything she said is us, as much as we hate to admit it."
"So you think we're just forcing this boyfriend-girlfriend thing and we'd just be better off as friends?"
"I mean, kinda. Like, take today for example; you got me kicked out of my train club and I got you banned from the drag races."
Okay, time for a little backstory. After you and Freddie had gotten kicked out of his train club, you took him to your drag racing place because you were in need of some extra cash and you were an amazing racer. You won the race but it was discovered that it was because Freddie accidentally sabotaged your competitor's car. When the founder of the drag race place found out, he took away all your money and banned you for life.
"Eh, it was illegal anyways," you shrugged. "So it was probably for the best."
"But still, this isn't even the only problem we've faced in our relationship. What with my mom trying to break us up as well as our best friends, it's like the whole world is against us."
"Yeah, it does feel like that," you agreed.
"Before we even started dating, you were like this bad girl that everyone was scared of but now, you're a big old softie."
"Take that back," you told him. "Take it back or else."
"Or else, what?"
"Or else, I'll.... fill your shoes with... baked beans," you said.
"Fill my shoes with baked beans?" Freddie repeated.
"Okay, maybe I am a little softer but that's a good thing and it wouldn't have happened if we never got together."
"Yeah, I know but now's just not our time. Maybe we can make it work in a few years when you're more hardcore."
"And when you're less nerdy."
Freddie laughed and you joined in then when the laughter died down, you asked,
"Did we just break up?"
"Yeah, I think so and it was mutual."
Then the tears came. You never knew that it would hurt so much but then again, Freddie was and always will be your first love.
"Then why does it hurt so much?"
Freddie took you into his arms and held you tight while a few tears escaped his eyes.
"I don't know," he answered.
You took your head off of his chest and gazed into his eyes lovingly while Freddie gave you the same look.
"I love you," he said.
"I love you too," you told him.
Then you two kissed and it was the second best kiss you've ever shared, the first being your first.
"I can't believe you're actually crying," Freddie chuckled after you two pulled away.
"If you tell anyone ever then I will..... fill your shoes with... you know what? I'm not even gonna try."
Freddie smiled and pulled you in for one more kiss before the elevator door opened and you two parted ways.
