*Agent Carter*

Everything around me was in chaos. The streets were covered in dead bodies and building debris. People tried to run for their lives but ended up being gunned down by Nazis and all I could do was hide in an alley and watch it all.

The war was a terrible thing and I couldn't believe that I had to be a part of it. It showcased all the worst attributes of humans.

"Are you okay?" I heard a voice ask from behind me.

I gripped my rifle tighter and turned around.

"Please don't shoot!" the woman shrieked as she covered her face.

I lowered my gun and walked closer to her.

"No, don't hide. I won't shoot you. I'm one of the good guys," I told her.

She stopped cowering and removed her hands from her face. I almost gasped at how beautiful she was.

She had brown skin that I couldn't take my eyes off of. Her Y/E/C eyes looked tired  and worn down but they still had a certain twinkle to them. And her curly hair looked nappy and unkept but I knew it wasn't her fault. There must have not been a lot of hair care products for coloured women in Germany, especially during a war.

"And yes, I am okay. Thank you for asking," I said.

She smiled at me and I smiled back.

"That's good, but it's not safe here. We must go now. Follow me," she said.

She moved a cardboard box away from the wall which revealed a secret entrance.

"Go in," she said.

Something inside of me told me to trust her so I did. I went into the entrance and kept walking down the tunnel until I reached a dead end.

"It's not a dead end. Just push that loose brick," the woman said.

When I did what she asked, another secret entrance opened and there was what looked like a living room. When I walked in, I realised that it was.

"This room, it's really nice," I said.

"Thank you. It's not much but it's enough," she smiled. "Would you like anything to eat, drink?"

"Just some water please," I asked.

She smiled and walked out of the room. I took a seat on the couch and stared at the fireplace. The woman walked back into the living room and gave me a glass of water.

"Thank you."

"What's your name?" she asked. "Assuming you have one."

"Edwin Jarvis, but you can just call me Jarvis. What's yours?" I asked her.

"Y/N Y/L/N."

"That's a lovely name," I complimented.

She smiled widely and looked away. I think she was blushing.

"Thank you, Jarvis."

"No problem, Y/N."

TIME SKIP

I had been living with Y/N for the past few weeks and I felt myself falling in love with her. I couldn't help it. The way she smiled, her laugh, the sound of her voice, her compassion everything about her was amazing.

I wished I could stay with her forever but I knew that I couldn't. I had a war to fight. A country to get back to. I had to leave soon. But I couldn't tell Y/N that. I wouldn't be able to handle her heartbroken face so instead I wrote her a letter explaining everything.

I regretted the minute I left our hideout because I was met by a Nazi soldier outside the alley and we are currently in hand to hand combat. I kicked away his gun earlier and he did the same to mine.

We had been fighting for a while but I finally had him where I wanted him. I was about to deliver my final blow before I heard her voice.

"Jarvis! Jarvis?! Where are you?!"

I lifted my head for one second and one second was all he needed.

He pushed me off of him and reached for his gun. Y/N must've seen this because before I knew it, she was standing in front of me, trying to fight him off. She seemed to be doing very well until—

BANG!

And with that she fell to the ground and and the soldier ran away.

I ran to her side and started putting pressure on her wound to try and stop her bleeding.

"Y/N, Y/N," I said.

"Jarvis?" she questioned.

"Yeah, it's me love," I said.

I could feel my eyes begin to water ans tears begin to fall down my face.

"Are you crying?" she asked.

I nodded.

"You big baby," she joked.

I couldn't help but laugh at that.

"Jarvis, in case I don't make it. I just want you to know that I love you," she told me.

"I love you too."

She smiled as much as she could in the moment then she closed her eyes.

"Y/N? No! No!"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"No!" Iman squealed.
"Yes!" I told her.
"Did she survive?" she asked.
"Well..."
"Jarvis," I heard Y/N say from behind me.
"Yes, love?" I asked.
She walked into the room and kissed Iman's forehead.
"Of course mommy survived sweetie," she said.
Iman let out a sigh of relief and wiped her forehead.
"Thank goodness," she said.
I laughed at her but stopped when I saw the look on Y/N's face.
"Goodnight sweetheart," I said to Iman before kissing her forehead and leaving her room with Y/N behind me.
"Really? You told her that story?" Y/N asked.
"Well, she asked for it and I happen to love that story very much. It's one of my favourites," I said.
"What are your others?"
"Our wedding day and the birth of our daughter."
Y/N smiled widely and looked away. She was blushing.
"I love you," she said.
"I love you too," I responded.
