"I can't wait. I can't wait. I can't wait. I can't wait!" you sang excitedly.

"Shut the hell up. Shut the hell up. Shut the hell up. Shut the hell up!" you best friend sang back.

You rolled your eyes at her.

"Usually, that would get a reaction from me but today, nothing can bring me down because today is the day I meet My Chemical Romance," you smiled.

"I don't understand why you like that white people music anyway," Aretha, your best friend scoffed.

"It's not 'white people music', Aretha. It's for everyone who's willing to listen and plus, their music has helped me through some tough times. Today is gonna be the best day of my life so far, I can guarantee it."

"Girl, whatever," Aretha said with an eye roll. "What time are we leaving anyway?"

"I don't know, let me check the website," you said.

You went to your laptop and pulled up the tab that had the concert information. You really wish you hadn't, because on the page was a vig, red 'Cancelled' sprawled across the page.

"Cancelled?" you breathed out. "No. No. No, it can't be cancelled."

"Did you find out yet or...?" Aretha stopped when she saw the page. "Aw, baby, I'm so sorry."

"It can't be cancelled. I've been waiting for this concert for such a long time."

"Do you want a hug?"

"No, I'd rather be alone right now."

You plugged your headphones into your MP3 player, put them om and walked out of the apartment.

You stuffed your hands in your pockets and stared at the ground while listening to the MCR album currently blasting through the headphones.

You didn't even have the energy to sing along to it. Feeling tired of walking, you sat on the sidewalk and watched cars pass by. You weren't exactly sure where you were and quite frankly, you didn't care.

You took out your headphones and just stopped listening to the music altogether.

"Room for one more?" a voice asked you.

"It's a free country," you shrugged.

The person sat next to you and also watched the cars pass by.

"So, what's got you down?" he asked.

"I was supposed to be well on my way to a My Chemical Romance concert that I'd been looking forward to for weeks but the concert got cancelled and now, nothing."

"Well, maybe they had good reason to cancel the concert."

"Not good enough," you retorted. "Ever since I found out about them, My Chemical Romance has been my safe haven. Something I could listen to when I was going through a difficult time and when I met them, I was going to thank them for all they've ever done for me but I can't now," you told him." And as if that's not bad enough, we're not allowed to get refunds for the tickets which is bullshit at its finest."

"Well, you weren't able to meet the whole band but maybe one would be good enough," the guy suggested.

"What are you talking about—" you began but immediately stopped when you saw the Gerard Way sitting right next to you.

"Hi," he greeted. "Nice to meet you."
