*Fantastic Four(2005)*
I couldn't believe what Johnny had said about me. And on live television! While the others were chewing him out, I just stood there and looked at him. I couldn't believe that this was the same Johnny that I was in love with in high school.
The moment Reed, Susan and Ben left, he finally noticed me.
"What? You gonna yell at me too?" he asked.
"Ice Queen?" I questioned. "My superhero name is Ice Queen?"
"Well you have ice powers, don't you?" Johnny shrugged. "Seemed like a good fit."
"Yeah, I also have water powers Johnny. Funny how you didn't mention that!"
"I figured it was implied."
" 'Yeah the name Ice Queen is pretty fitting, seeing how frigid she is'," I repeated. "So I'm frigid now? Why? Because I wasn't one of the many, many women who slept with you?"
Johnny opened his mouth to say something but nothing came out.
"Is that all you ever wanted me for?" I asked.
By now, tears were blurring my vision but I didn't want to cry in front of Johnny and all these people in fear if looking weak.
"Good to know," I said. "You know, I hope all this fame and publicity is worth it because when it all fades away you'll have no one left."
Then I walked away and tried not to look back.
TIME SKIP
I was sitting in a diner trying to drown my sorrows in food but I barely touched the meal in front of me.
The waitress who served me earlier came to my table.
"Are you done here?" she asked.
"Uh, yeah," I answered.
"Cool, here's your bill," she said as she handed me the bill then walked away.
I put the money on the table and got up to leave but was stopped by Johnny's voice.
"Don't leave just because I'm here," he said as he slid across from me.
"Wow, you thought I was leaving just because you showed up?" I asked. "How 'Johnny Storm' of you."
"I'll take that as a compliment," he said cockily.
"Of course you would," I muttered.
"Another compliment."
"What are you doing here, Storm?" I asked.
"I saw you looking all lonely so I decided to keep you company 'cause that's just what good guys do."
"I was alone Johnny, not lonely. Not that you'd know the difference."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"It means even though you're not alone, you're lonely, Johnny," I told him. "All these people that you think like you and care about you, they don't. You're just a fad to them. A pretty, shiny thing. The team is the only real thing you have and it doesn't help that nobody there likes you not even Sue and she's your sister."
"That's not true," he said. "You like me."
"I haven't liked you since senior year," I said.
"Why no— oh, I see. It's because you're still pissed about that happened with me and Jillian, huh?"
"You made out with my best friend!" I exclaimed which made a few heads turn to us. "Mind your own business."
"She kissed me!" Johnny retaliated.
"And that's supposed to make everything better? You never pushed her away, Johnny. You should've."
"You know what? You're right. I'm sorry, okay? I messed up," he half assed apologised.
"Do me a favour, break that glass in front of you," I told him.
"Break the glass?" he repeated.
"Break the glass," I told him.
He shrugged and actually did it.
"Now tell it you're sorry," I said.
He looked at me weirdly before actually doing it.
"Is it back to normal? Is it miraculously fixed?" you asked.
"No," he answered.
"That's exactly how it is in reality, Johnny. How it is with me."
I then got up and walked away from him, for the second time that day.
"But I'm sorry. I'm so sorry," Johnny said and he actually sounded sincere.
