"Y/N, come on," Joker groaned through the phone.

"No, J, I'm literally drowning in work. Come on, Leo loves you," Y/N said.

They were arguing over Y/N's son, Leo. Leo was from a previous relationship Y/N had been in. When she started seeing Joker she never mentioned him because she was worried he would take off like all the other men she'd tried to date. Plus, this was the Joker. He was known for notorious things such as bank robbery, murder and being incredibly insane. Y/N wasn't sure she wanted her son around that kind of stuff. That is until she got to know the real Joker and fell in love with him.

Y/N was currently at work, filling in for someone who couldn't make it. She didn't want Leo and J to meet so early in their relationship but no one else she knew was available. Y/N just showed up at J's doorstep, dropped off Leo and drove off without another word.

"No he doesn't! He doesn't even know me!" Joker whisper shouted seeing as Leo was in the same room as him.

"Sure he does. We see you on the news all the time."

Y/N almost face palmed at what she just said.

"So, he's afraid of me?" Joker asked. "Perfect. Fucking perfect."

"J, look. He's a six year old boy. I'm sure you can entertain him somehow. Trust me, it's really easy," Y/N said in a reassuring tone.

"It must be if you could do it," J muttered angrily.

"What was that?" Y/N asked, the reassuring tone now replaced with an annoyed one.

"Nothing," Joker lied. "I'll see you later, doll."

Joker hung up the phone with a heavy sigh. He banged his head repeatedly on the wall until he felt some blood dripping down his forehead. He quickly wiped away the crimson liquid and turned to the child he was forced to take care of.

"So, kid, what do you like to do for fun?" J asked only to get no response.

Leo looked at him with big E/C eyes. He had his mother's eyes but his father's hair color. There were features of him that belonged to Y/N which made Joker almost like him. But he also had certain features of his father which is what made Joker strongly dislike him.

"What's wrong kid?" Joker asked playfully. "Cat got your tongue?"

Leo still remained quiet. At first, Joker thought it was because Leo was afraid of him but he looked into his eyes and saw no fear in them.

"Come on kid, at least try."

Leo still said nothing. Joker groaned in frustration.

"Look, I'm not doing this because I like ya. I'm doing this for your mom. Who I like a lot. So, we might as well try to get along."

Leo stood up and slowly walked over to Joker. He stood in front of him and pointed to the gun that rested on J's side. Joker followed his little finger and saw where it lead. He smiled once he realized where it was pointed to. He grabbed the gun and held it in front of Leo's face.

"Ah, my favorite gun. I never go anywhere without it," Joker smiled crazily. "You want to hold it?"

Half of him was joking, the other half was hoping the child would reach out and grab it.

The other half won. Leo reached out and grabbed it like it was his life source. His already big E/C eyes widened in excitement. He turned it this way and that way, examining it. As if he was truly interested in the weapon he was holding. But J saw something more than just excitement in the boy's eyes.

He saw happiness, joy... insanity? He shook off those thoughts and looked again. He saw the exact same thing. He smirked at his girlfriend's son.

"You like that huh?"

Leo nodded eagerly without taking his eyes off the gun.

"Well, I could teach you how to use it. How does that sound?" Joker asked.

Leo raised a thumbs up and gave him a small smile.

"You don't talk much do you?"

Leo shook his head.

"Eh, that's fine. I can work with that," Joker shrugged. "Now, let's start with your training."

An evil smirk graced J's pale face.

"This is gonna be fun."
