*Captain America: Civil War*
Tony Stark x Daughter! Reader

You were pacing around your room, waiting for your dad to come and talk to you. See, you sided with Steve as a means to get Tony's attention. It seemed like he hardly paid attention to you lately and you wanted to change that. Turns out, that wasn't such a good idea.

Your door opened and you suddenly stopped pacing, your hands sweaty and your heart pounding. Your dad stood there, looking unimpressed and disappointed, which was unfamiliar to you.

"Sit down, Y/N," Tony told you.

"I'd rather not," you responded.

"Sit down," he repeated.

You immediately sat down on your bed, not wanting to upset him further.

"What were you thinking going out there and siding with Cap? Did you have a death wish? What if you got hurt? Or worse; what if you died?"

"I'm sorry, dad."

"You're sorry?" Tony scoffed. "How would your sorry have made a difference? Why would you even do that?"

"Because I wanted your attention," you whispered.

"What?"

"I said I wanted your attention! You're hardly around anymore, dad. We haven't spent time with each other in months and two minute Skypes don't count. You haven't been the same since New York."

Tony gave you a look of shock.

"That's right, dad. I know about the anxiety attacks, I get them too. Not that you'd know."

"You get them too?" Tony asked.

"Yes, dad, I get them too. You seem to forget that I was in Afghanistan too, I was in New York too and I lost mom too but you've never once spoken to me about any that. Instead, I had to rely on my therapist for emotional support rather than my dad who is my only living relative. "

By now, you were bawling. Originally Tony was going to yell at and ground you but now, all he wanted to do was hold you so he did.

"I'm so sorry, Y/N," he apologized. "I didn't know."

"How could you have? I get that I'm not as important as everything else going on in your life but—"

"Whoa, stop it. You're my daughter. You will always be the most important thing in my life and I'm sorry for not letting you know that," Tony said. "You know what? From now on, I'm gonna put you first. I'm cancelling everything. It'll just be me and you, just like before. How does that sound?"

"Sound good," you nodded.

"I love you, Y/N."

"I love you too, dad."
