"Miley, what do you think about Liam's new girlfriend?" the interviewer asked.

I rolled my eyes at the question. It seems like every single interviewer asked the same question every single time.

Miley's smile seemed to falter for a second but then it came back.

" Well, I've never actually met her so I can't exactly have thoughts on her, can I?" she said.

"But still, don't you think they're relationship was really sudden? I mean, literally two weeks after your divorce was announced, he just rocked up with a new girlfriend," the interviewer tried again, obviously not liking the way Miley's answer.

"I mean, I guess it was really sudden but I didn't think too much of it," Miley answered.

The interviewer rolled her eyes and decided to try again.

"Maybe Liam was cheating on you with her. It would explain the suddenness of their relationship."

And that was when Miley snapped.

"Liam wasn't cheating on me! He was incredibly loyal. In fact, why are even asking me about this? Liam and Y/N have been together for six months. We've all moved on, now why can't you? I thought coming onto your show would give me a break from these types of questions. Ask me about my music, my clothes, my hair, anything! But goddammit leave Liam and that poor girl out of your mouth or I'm out," Miley said and for a moment everything was silent.

The interviewer then cleared her throat and straightened her posture.

"You're right, Miley. I'm sorry," she apologized.

Then I switched off the TV and threw the remote back onto the couch.

I let out a loud groan and hid my face in my hands while Liam chuckled at me.

"What are you laughing at?" I asked.

"You," he answered.

I smacked my lips at him and rolled my eyes.

"Doesn't it ever get on your nerves?" I asked.

"You mean all the questions and accusations?" I nodded. "Definitely."

"You and Miley wouldn't have to go through this if you'd never met me. I'm so sorry," I said.

"Sorry? What for? Making me happy?" he asked.

"No, making you suffer."

"Babe, you're not the one questioning me or Miley about our relationship 24/7, therefore you're not the one making me suffer. You need to stop thinking like that," Liam told me, lifting my face up to his.

"I can't help it. I feel like all of this is my fault. You shouldn't have to go through this because of me."

"Okay, it's true that all of this is because of you but at the end of the day, you're worth it. I wouldn't want to be with anybody else. These past six months have been amazing and it's all thanks to you," he said.

I smiled at him and gently kissed him. After pulling away, I hugged him.

"Thanks babe," I said.

He kissed the top of my head.

"No problem."
