*Avengers: Endgame*
Peter Parker x Adopted! Little sister readerPeter had been gone for five years and so had half of the universe's population. You never understood what happened or why it happened. All you understood was, Peter went to school one day and didn't come back.
You and Aunt May were absolutely devastated when Tony called you up and told you Peter was gone but were glad that you still had each other.
The first few months were tough. You barely ate anything, hardly left your room, never spoke to anyone. Peter's disappearance hit you hard but eventually you acknowledged the fact that you weren't alone in this. May helped you out and never gave up on you no matter how tough or unbearable it got.
So one day, while May was out buying groceries or whatever, you were just chilling on the couch in your sweats, watching some TV and stuffing your face with some junk food. You know, typical Friday but then you heard some movement coming from Peter's room, almost like a body had hit the ground.
You quickly paused what you were watching and listened closer then you heard some more movement. You reached under the couch and grabbed the baseball bat that you two kept there for emergencies and began tiptoeing to Peter's room.
When you made it to the door, you took a deep breath and just charged in, yelling.
"Whoa, whoa, stop! It's me! It's me!" a familiar voice exclaimed.
You lowered your bat in shock.
"Y/N?!"
"Peter?!"
You dropped the bat and ran into your big brother's arms. He squeezed you back, not wanting to let go. You wanted to ask why he was wearing an upgraded version of his Spidey suit but you were gonna do that afterwards. For now, you just wanted to carry on hugging him.
You two slowly pulled away from the hug and looked at each other. Like, really looked. He was exactly as you remembered him. A little beat up, sure but other than that, he looked the same. You on the other hand, looked completely different. You weren't the little girl that Peter would walk to school or tell bedtime stories to anymore.
"You're alive," you cried. "I can't believe it."
"Yeah, and you're.... older," Peter said. "What are you? Like, eleven now?"
"Twelve, actually," you corrected. "And you're still sixteen? How?"
"I was trapped in the soul stone for five years."
"In the what?" you asked.
"That's a long story," he sighed.
"Okay," you nodded. "Why do you look like that? And where did you get the new suit from? What happened?"
Peter's expression fell and he began crying.
"Uhm, a really bad guy named Thanos had something called an Infinity Gauntlet that had powerful stones in them and he wiped away half of the universe's existence five years ago but The Avengers figured out a way to bring everyone back and we fought Thanos and won," he explained.
"Well, that's great. Isn't it?"
Peter shook his head.
"Mr Stark died," he sobbed. "He... he sacrificed his life so that we could win, now he's gone."
Peter fell to his knees and you instantly rushed to his side. You hugged tightly and tried comforting him.
"Hey, it's okay. I'm right here for you, Bubba," you told him. "I'm right here and you're right here. We're both here. It's going to be okay."
