"You are such a jerk you know that?" I asked my boyfriend while looking down at him at running my hands through his sandy locks.

"Oh yeah? How so?"

"You stole the lightning bolt but everyone thinks Percy did it. So now he's on some crazy quest with Annabeth and Grover and it's your fault."

Luke shrugged his shoulders and rearranged his body so that he could face me but still lay comfortably in my lap. I flicked his forehead and glared at him.

"Oh come on. We both know the real you're upset is because you couldn't go with them," he replied slyly while smirking at me.

I smacked my lips at him and pushed him off my lap which lead to him hitting the cold, hard ground.

"I'm serious Luke. He's just a kid."

"He can handle himself just fine. He survived the Fury attack at his school didn't he?"

"Shh!" I scolded him. "You know you're not supposed to say that word."

"What word? Fury?" he joked.

"Luke!"

"Fury, fury, fury, fury, fury," he continued until I threw a pillow at his head.

"And you wonder why I call you a jerk," I said.

"You know, I may be a jerk but you're extremely mean," he told me.

"Oh shut up, you like it."

"It's true, I do," he smirked while giving me a once over.

"Stop looking at me like that perv. Not while I'm still talking about your jerkiness," I said. "Percy, Annabeth and Grover are out there. Probably cold, and hungry, and scared..."

"Scared?!" Luke exclaimed. "Have you met Annabeth?"

"Have you met Grover?" I asked him back.

"Good point but hey," he said. "They'll be fine I promise."

"Please, like you care about them being fine," I scoffed.

"I don't but I care about you shutting up."

I opened my mouth in shock with my hand over my heart. Luke just laughed at me and took my other hand in his. I smiled at the contrast between his tan one and my brown one. He kissed my hand and smiled up at me. I couldn't help but smile back. I never could stay mad at Luke.

"They'll be fine. Now stop bothering me about it," he said.

"Only if you stop being a jerk," I replied.

"Ugh!"
