You were sitting on a pillow on the floor while Wade was doing your hair. You wanted to get box braids for an important event that was happening this weekend. To pass the time and make sure that you two weren't bored, you were watching a reality TV show. Well, Wade was. You honestly couldn't care less.

"Hey, dad?" you questioned.

"Yeah, pumpkin?" he questioned.

"Are you going somewhere this Saturday?" you asked. "Like, on a killing spree or something?"

"Probably," he answered. "There's always someone out there who needs killing. Why do you ask?"

"If I tell you, do you promise to not go all 'dad' on me?"

He stopped doing your hair and looked at you questioningly. You turned to look at him with the most innocent face you could muster.

"Well, there's this really cute guy at my school named Blaise and he asked me out," you explained.

"Blaise?" Wade questioned. "What is he, a Pokémon trainer?"

"I know you did not just ask me that, Pikachu," you said to him.

"I can't believe you just went there," Wade said.

"You better believe it, Hal Jordan," you retaliated.

Wade gasped dramatically and placed his hand over his mouth.

"We swore to never mention that name in this house," he said. "Your mother would be disappointed in you."

"She married you. I doubt she had the highest of expectations," you clapped back.

Wade smiled at you proudly.

"I raised you so well," he said.

"For my thirteenth birthday, you taught me all the different ways that I kill could someone."

"Well what was I supposed to do? Throw you a party?" he questioned.

"Yes!" you yelled.

"One day, when you're being hunt down by creeps and have your back to the wall, what's gonna help you? The knowledge you have on how to kill them or the memories of a normal childhood?"

"You know what? We're getting off track. Can I go out with Blaise on Saturday or not?" you asked him.

"Sure, you can go out with Blaine," he told you.

"Blaise!" your corrected.

"Stop dating Pokémon trainers!"
