I was doing an interview at a radio station that wasn't very popular and whose name I had already forgotten but my agent insisted on me going there anyway. To be honest, I wouldn't care if they were popular, these dudes were annoying AF.

"So Y/N, it's no secret that you and Conan Gray are dating," one of the dudes — Ronnie, I think his name is —said.

"You're right, it isn't a secret," I answered, ready to be done with this interview.

"How have you guys been handling the rumours?" the other one — Max, probably — asked.

"The rumours," I repeated.

"Yeah, you know, the ones that say you're a gold digger and you're only with Conan because of his money," Johnny said, unnecessarily.

"I'm well aware of the rumours, Johnny," I told him. "And I just have question in response to them; why would I be after Conan's money if I make my own?"

"Well, you were with KJ Apa before Conan and he's moneyed," Max pointed out.

"Well, I'm also moneyed," I said.

"Well, Conan is a really successful singer."

"In case you haven't noticed, boo boo, I am too."

"Yeah, but Conan is on a higher level than you."

I did a double take. I know this Principal Brown looking ass mofo did not just say that I was not on the same level as my boyfriend when he wasn't even on the same level as a cockroach.

"Level?" I scoffed. "You wanna talk about levels? Okay then, let's talk about how your radio show was been around for five years but I can even remember it's fucking name because it isn't on the same level as me."

"Whoa, no need to catch an attitude, Y/N," Brodie — the third dude — said after having kept quiet this entire time.

"I know you're not talking with your 'Welcome to Chillies' looking ass," I responded. "Your friends are gonna catch my hands if they keep talking shit about me. How are all of you grown-ass men but y'all still living in your mothers' garages? Don't come for me when you all look like you're related to Syd from the first Toy Story movie. Now, I am leaving this radio show and I'm never coming back to this mess. And that is on your moms, your receding hairlines and everything."

And then I walked out. I get that that wasn't the best reaction but I was just tired of all the rumours and people talking crap about mine and Conan's relationship. Those guys were just the final straw and I guess I snapped.

When I got home, I saw Conan sitting on the couch. Needing a hug, I bent over the couch and wrapped my arms around him. He reached up and held my arms close to his chest.

"I hate everything," I groaned.

"Is it because of that radio interview?" he asked.

I unwrapped my arms from him and flopped onto the couch.

"You know about that?"

"Yeah, it was live. All our friends know about it," he answered. "I heard everything and I am so proud of you."

"Really? Because if I was you, I would be super embarrassed."

"Why would I be embarrassed of having a badass girlfriend that can defend herself when need be? Those guys were out of line."

"I am pretty badass, aren't I?"

"Of course that's the only thing you heard from everything I just said," Conan chuckled.

You also chuckled and kissed him.

"Wanna watch 'Never Have I Ever' to get your mind off of that horrible interview?" Conan asked.

"I'd love that."
