Quirk: Flame Charge

Izuku's quirk is Flame Charge. It is an emitter/mutant speed type that allows Izuku to produce flames from the bottom of his feet, as well as pull flames in. At his fastest, Izuku can rival Tenya's fastest. This leads to a friendly rivalry between them. Izuku's flames run on the carbon in carbonated drinks like soda or carbonated water. If Izuku drinks a flat drink it messes with his "fuel" so to speak and causes a misfire.

Izuku is part of Gran Torino's sister's family, who had the same quirk as Gran Torino but didn't become a hero. Gran Torino's sister [who ill call Carla for convince] married into Izuku's father's family. Izuku's quirk is a perfect fusion of Jet, Flame Breath, and Attraction of Small Objects.

The person Carla married is a member of the Ida family, whose quirk had turned his tongue into an engine. Due to that he could not be a hero, but is still on friendly terms with them. You can see how this evolved into Fire Breath with the addition of Jet, which uses the oxygen in the lungs to fuel itself.

Quirk Functions

Izuku has holes on the bottom of his feet and up the back of his ankles that shoot flames when activated. These flames can get as hot as Dabi's for a price. That price being the extra carbon in Izuku's lungs. His quirk normally only uses the carbon that he drank, but upping the heat makes it go through it's fuel faster. As a result it falls onto its backup - the lungs. This means he needs to take a deep breath to up the heat, giving him a disadvantage in battles where air availability is low.

Due to Inko, Izuku gained the ability to pull in fire to use as either fuel or to cover his body and/or specific body parts, giving him a complete immunity to all fire levels as a side effect. He is not immune to lava however, and it is not a completle form of Pyrokenisis, only allowing him those three options.

When Izuku runs with his quirk active it tends to leave a trail of fire. This fire is strangely stagnant. It does not burn what it sits on, using up only the carbon fuel Izuku gave it before going out. It does however burn people so watch out! When Izuku runs on those flames it acts similar to Mina's Acid Trail, as Izuku can gain faster speeds quicker when following it back. He cannot turn this part off while also using his quirk at first, however it is possible to do so with training.

Flight is possible for Izuku, the same way it is for Gran Torino. After all the two quirks are very similar in functionality, just diffrent in the way they work.

Quirk Drawbacks

Drinking an uncarbonated drink causes misfires with his quirk, easily allowing for things to catch fire because the fire literally shoots from the holes uncontrollably until empty.

Due to the heat and Izukus inability to drink anything uncarbonated [like pure water] dehydration is highly possible. To combat it he must drink carbonated water a lot.

Overheating is not an issue for Izuku, as the holes at the back of his ankles shoot out all the uneeeded heat as heatwaves similar to the original Jet, just without enough propulsion to do anything. Block those holes or shoot fire from them however and overheating becomes a major issue.
