Izuku's quirk is Absolute Nullification. It is an emitter/mutant quirk that nullifies harm to Izuku's body, even falling from up high!
It works by evenly distributing the energy behind the attacks to his body; through his body, revitalizing him and sending the excess energy through the ground. Similarly to how a lightning rod works. The only two ways it would fail is if it's either a cutting attack or if Izuku does not have some kind of physical connection or link to the ground, whether it be through a cable or whatever. Otherwise attacks that hold any type of energy, from kinetic to thermal, are useless against him. It simply revitalizes him and gets stopped dead. This means his quirk is less useful in the air, turning to Energy Absortion from Energy Nullification. You still have to beat the quirk similarity to how All Might beat the USJ Nomu.
It even works for quirks, by doing the same process as before but just with the energy that would've had the quirk take effect. So basically Quirk Energy enters the body and leaves through the ground, where it diffuses like lightning would. The downside is that it works with all quirks known to man, including healing quirks. [Yes, even All for One]
One for All coming into contact with Absolute Nullification doesn't change much, it just changes where the energy goes. Instead of just the ground, it can either enter One for All's stockpile of energy and add to it or exit through the ground. A side effect of this is One for All copying the quirk signatures that enter Izuku's body, [kinda like how it does for Blackwhip and co.] though that is optional.
Quirk Parentage
Midoryia Hisashi has the quirk Lightning Rod, which is a mutant quirk that turns his nervous system into lightning rods. It makes him more prone to being struck, and when struck, Hisashi's energy is revitalized and the excess is sent into the ground.
Midoryia Inko has the quirk Energy Nullification. Her quirk is an emitter/mutant quirk that nullifies all energy types that touch her body. That's it. Mabye you could have this quirk get stolen at some point in Izuku's life as a plot point?
