Izuku's quirk is All for Double. It's an emitter type that allows him to steal, give and duplicate quirks. Duplication is not a option, however. Any quirk he takes will be duplicated after 24 hours have passed with it in his "Inventory", albeit they are slightly weaker.
[About 1/4th weaker, as if he had 3/4 of the quirk factor. By using both the Double and the Original it stacks their power on top of eact other, boosting them. He can also give away the duplicate, so if someone can't control their quirk he'll give them a weaker version that is usually easier to control.]
All for Double also acts as a blank to other quirks. [EX: Copy, All for One, Erasure]
All for One had a cundrum. He wanted to make a stronger version of his quirk to give to Shigariki, but doesnt have a clue as to how to make it stronger. Later on, he saw Inko Bubaigawara, [who is Twice's sister] use her Quirk at a Cat Cafe under his Hisashi Midoryia disguise. He realized the combined potential All for One and Item Double had together so he used a few Quirks [Emotional Manipluation, Subliminal Thought Passage, and Direct Action] to make her fall in love and attempt to ask him out. [All while making it seem like it was her idea] After a few years they had a kid, who turned out to be quirkless [According to his quirk and to the doctor] He and (the now) Inko Midoryia had an argument about what to do with him [All for One wanting to kick him to the curb, and Inko wanting to keep him] and eventually All for One deemed the project a failure and left them alone due to Inko being both infertle and refusing to cooperate.
About a year later, Izuku stole Inko's Quirk, and couldn't return it. After a day had passed, he felt two quirks in him and the Original quirk no longer felt like it had chains holding it down. Izuku successfully returned the quirk to Inko that time. [One of his quirk's downsides is that once he steals a quirk he cannot give it away until it is duplicated]
Inko's Quirk is Item Duplication. It works exactly like Jin's quirk, but with items. It cannot be used on living things . Similarly, Jin cannot use his quirk on non-living things. Since to the All for One quirk, Quirks are essentially Items, the fusion of the two results in Izuku's Quirk.
