Request: Reader sits quietly at home waiting for Kayce to come home from Bozeman, when he does he comes home really drunk and in a certain sexy mode. The reader tries to get him to bed but maybe it goes in a different direction?

Glancing over at the clock you saw it was almost one in the morning. You had been so engrossed in your book that time had honestly slipped away from you. You had sat down after dinner to read a little before going upstairs for a bath but looks like that was over five hours ago.

"Jeez," you groaned as you stood up, stretching around and setting your book on the end table in the living room for the next day. You were almost to the stairs when you heard the front door open.

You knew there was a chance Kayce would be home tonight, but typically if it's after midnight he would either sleep in the bunkhouse or on Rip's couch so he wouldn't disturb you. But here he was as you watched him slowly shut the front door, trying to be quiet. He turned around and started to take a step when he saw you standing there watching him.

"Hey baby," His voice was low, his eyes were glossy, his cheeks were pink, and he had a smirk on his lips.

Kayce Dutton was drunk.

"Hey yourself," You smiled, trying not to giggle as Kayce started to walk towards you. He wobbled slightly but recovered himself to make it over to where you were standing. He leaned his forearm against the banister of the stairs and tipped his head as though he still had his hat on. You made a mental note to remind him in the morning to look for where he left it because he certainly left the house with it on earlier.

"Howdy, ma'am," Kayce's face grew serious. "You seem to be up a little past your bedtime."

"How much whiskey did you have there, cowboy?" You laughed out loud, reaching over to smooth his hair back from his face.

"Good thing though I'm here," He leaned up, ignoring your question.

"Why is that a good thing?" You asked.

"I'm excellent at putting pretty women to bed," Kayce then winked at you and you lost it.

"Oh, Kace..." You licked your lips. "You're drunk as a skunk."

"No," He shook his head one too many times. "I'm here to save you."

Kayce then tried to wrap his arms around you and lift you up but you only made it halfway into his arms before he got confused about where to place his hands.

"How about we walk up the stairs, huh?" You giggle, untangling yourself from him but grabbing his hand. You slowly walked back up the stairs as Kayce followed you.

"Now who's trying to put who to bed?" Kayce gave you an incredulous look which cause you to roll your eyes.

You were able to get Kayce up and into your bedroom, closing the door and watching him walk into the center of the room, turn around and face you.

"You okay there?" You asked, shutting off the main light so just your nightstand glowed in the room. Kayce didn't answer you immediately. His eyes danced over your face before moving down your body and you were suddenly aware of the jean shorts and hoodie you had on to be comfy earlier. Not really your sexiest look but Kayce's eyes were making you feel like you had nothing on. "Kace?"

"Damn you look good," He moaned out, taking a few steps towards you and wrapping his arms around your waist.

"Babe," You sighed, holding onto his arms. "You're really drunk right now."

"M'not drunk," Kayce murmured as his lips kissed your cheek, almost hitting your eye.

"Yes," You pushed against his chest. "You are."

"Do you not want me?" He asked, but you watched his eyes blink slowly, a tale sign he was close to passing out.

"I always want you," You smiled up at him, hugging his torso against you again. "But I want you in bed right now."

"Yes, ma'am!" Kayce gave you a salute before turning quickly and walking to the bed, falling face down into the pillows.

You signed, walking up and grabbing his boots, pulling them off as he scooted closer to the headboard and wrapping his arms around a pillow. You went into the bathroom to get yourself ready, not needing to do much but by the time you walked back into the bedroom Kayce was softly snoring. You smiled, shaking your head, as you turned off your nightstand lamp and climbed in next to him. You snuggled up to his side and felt your eyes close.
