Request - I have another idea please let me know what you think: what if Kayce and Y/N aren't like trying for a baby (so it's not even on their radar to take a test) and all of a sudden Y/N is vomiting often so at first Kayce think it's a stomach bug but then he comes home from work and she's still feeling really under the weather so he worries about her tries to convince her to go to the doctor and kind of has to make her go so he brings her, takes good care of her and then they run some tests and the doctor comes in and tells her she's pregnant and Kayce I'd like relieved it's not something else and shocked she's pregnant so he cries.

Author's Note – just tweaked a few details 😊

You slowly leaned up from having your head in the toilet bowl. It was early, not even five yet, but you didn't feel well when you had gone to bed last night. About ten minutes ago you popped up from the bed and ran straight to the bathroom.

You must have eaten something that didn't sit right...or this was a continuation from yesterday morning when you had thrown up.

Flushing the toilet, you leaned back against the side of the tub and took a few deep breaths. You hated being sick, it would almost make you cry when you had to throw up. You didn't turn the lights on when you ran in here, so you carefully stood up and walked over to the sink. After rinsing your mouth out and patting your cheeks you made you way back into the bedroom.

You pulled your sheets back and slid into the bed, being careful not to wake up Kayce. You thought you had gotten away with it to, until his hand reached over and rubbed your back.

"You okay?" Kayce whispered out, his voice thick with sleep.

"I'm okay," You sighed, willing yourself to go to sleep.

But you weren't fine, because a few hours later you were back with your head in the toilet bowl. Kayce had walked back into the bedroom with some hot tea for you and noticed you weren't in bed. When you flushed and again, leaned back against the cool tub your eyes looked over at Kayce.

"I don't like this," Kayce frowned.

"You think I do?" You let out a humorless laugh. "What did I eat?"

"We haven't eaten anything weird lately," Kayce walked in and sunk down opposite of you against the wall. His boots tapped your bare toes gently. He held up the tea. "Think you can keep this down?"

You shook your head no, the mere thought of trying to put anything into you make your stomach twist and pull. He was right though, last night's dinner was steak and potatoes...basically the diet here on the ranch.

"Think we should go to the clinic?" Kace asked, his eyes worried.

"I'm sure it'll pass," You shrugged, loving the fact Kayce said 'we' but also not loving the thought of having to drive all the way into the clinic.

"You've been doing this over twenty-four hours," Kayce sighed.

"Here," You held out your hand for the tea, hoping sipping some would calm Kayce's worried mind.

He handed you the mug. When you brought it to your lips you had to fight the urge to cough. Taking a deep breath, you sipped the warm liquid twice before setting it down besides you. You tried to offer Kayce a smile.

"See?" You smiled. "I'm..."

You quickly leaned up and over to the toilet, another round coming up your throat. Kayce leaned up on his knees behind you, gathering your hair in his hand while the other rubbed up and down on your back. After a few minutes you leaned back, this time into Kayce whose arms wrapped around you.
