Request - Hey would you be able to do a birthday type of request for Kayce for me. Like it is the readers 21st birthday so he takes her out for drinks and Beth is there too with Rip, thank you in advance ❤️

Author's Note – Hope you enjoy it and Happy Birthday!!!

"It's your twenty-first birthday, you have to go!" Kayce laughed from where he was leaned against his truck.

"I've had a beer before," You rolled your eyes as you pulled on your denim jacket. "Many with you if I recall."

"But now you get to order whatever you want, whenever you want," Kayce thought for a moment. "Wherever you want."

"I have you for that," You walked down the front porch steps of the small cabin you rented with three other girls.

It was the summer before you went back to finish your last year at college. The four of you had rented this cabin and found little odd jobs to do around your hometown to make some money. You would deny it, but you were always incredibly happy to go back home because that meant you got to see your best friend, Kayce Dutton.

You stopped in front of Kayce and looked up at his smile.

"Why are you so excited about me turning twenty-one?" You asked.

"Cause it get to celebrate you," Kayce pushed off his truck. "Come on, it's only Riley's."

The drive over was short and soon Kayce pulled his truck into one of the parking spots of the half-full lot. You got out, brushed off your green sundress and met Kayce on the sidewalk.

"See? Ain't too many here," Kayce slung his arm around your shoulder and walked you inside.

It wasn't crowded, which made you sigh in relief. You weren't big on attention, and something told you Kayce would make it his mission to embarrass you in some form tonight. Two people did catch your eye though...in one of the corners sat Rip and Beth.

"I didn't know Beth was back in town?" You looked up at Kayce.

Kayce waved at Beth and then pushed you by the small of your back forward towards the bar. The bartender came up and nodded to both of you. Kayce ordered for you as you leaned your arms on the bar.

"She's here for the weekend I think," Kayce said.

"Seems like her and Rip are good?" You glanced back. "This time at least."

"This time at least," Kayce mimicked you. "Thanks."

The bar tender brought you both a pint glass. Grabbing yours, the two of you walked over to Rip and Beth, who had brought over two more stools. You hopped up on one while Kayce stood, close to you. His arm would brush against you every time he would take a sip of his beer.

"Happy Birthday, Y/N," Beth smiled at you.

"Thanks," You blushed. "I hope Kayce didn't force you to come out."

"Probably wouldn't have ended up in a bar any way," Beth shrugged. "Might as well spend it with you celebrating."

"I don't really celebrate my birthdays," You shook your head and then pointed to Kayce. "But he doesn't take no for an answer apparently."

"Must be a cowboy thing," Beth eyed Rip who looked slightly uncomfortable.

"Happy Birthday," Rip raised his glass slightly to you.

"Thanks, Rip," You smiled, always enjoying making the older guy nervous, especially since he would fight Kayce a lot over loyalty to John Dutton.

"No Jamie?" Beth asked Kayce.
