Request - if it's Halloween and Y/N goes to the bar after work with her work friends. While she's there some of the wranglers see her but notice that one of her coworkers is being really flirty and trying to seduce her so they text Kayce, who gets a bit possessive and comes down to the bar and is extra affectionate :P

"But I don't really do the whole dress up thing," You mumbled in the bathroom at your work.

"Obviously," Your co-worker's eyes looked to your head.

All you were wearing was a pair of cat ears. They looked a little silly with your black pencil skirt and cream blouse, but it was Halloween after all. Your co-workers were trying to get you to go out with them for a drink at the bar now that it was after hours. All you really wanted to do was go home and snuggle on the couch with Kayce, but you also knew the value of creating those office bonds.

"Only for a drink," You sighed.

"Or two!" Another worker cheered.

You followed the small group over to a bar on the edge of the main street in town. You had recognized it from when you had gone out with Kayce and some of the wranglers before. They didn't go out a lot, and not into town much, but when they did this was their place.

You piled into a back booth with your team, and everyone ordered their first round of drinks. Your co-worker was right. That first round turned into a second round really quick...which led to a third round for you and even a fourth round for others.

Jeremy was a senior sales manager in a different department than yours. But he was next to you and after his second round, he kept getting closer to you. Leaning in when he wanted to say something to you, you started to feel uncomfortable, but none of the others seemed to notice or have it bother them.

When he did it another time, his hand brushed your shoulder, and you pressed your lips together. When he complimented your eyes, you turned to look at the bar, wanting to close your tab, and your eyes fell on a familiar pair. Ryan was there, along with Colby and Teeter and even Lloyd.

Ryan was watching you closely, he raised his glass as if to say hello to you. You smiled, thankful for someone you knew but when you tried to get off the stool, Jeremy's arm caught you.

"Y/N, you have to tell these guys about Bill on third," Jeremy laughed.

Everyone was looking at you around the table and while his arm on you was uncomfortable and inappropriate, you didn't know what to say. So, you took a deep breath, glanced at Ryan again but saw he was looking at his phone, and then proceeded to tell everyone about Bill on the third floor.

You tried to shrug Jeremy's arm off your shoulder, but he only moved it to the back of your chair. The conversation continued around you as you sat there, wishing you had just gone home instead of out. You were listening to another co-worker tell their story of Bill, Jeremy scooting his stool closer to you, when you felt another presence next to you.

Looking up you saw Kayce standing next to you, trying to mask the annoyance on his face with a smile to you. Your eyes were wide as you turned in your seat, happy to see him and instantly feeling calm.

"Hi," You said almost breathless.

"Hey baby," Kayce leaned down and kissed you.

While you and Kayce were very loving to one another in the private of his cabin on the ranch and out when it was just the two of you, you weren't overly affectionate in public. Certainly not when it was like you both were on show. He certainly never kissed you like this when there were strangers, to him, all staring at you both.

"What are you doing here?" You asked as Kayce pulled away.

"Boys called me," Kayce nodded over to where the wranglers were sitting. "Said you were here as well, and I'd be interested in coming down."

"I'm glad you're here," You smiled up at him, your hand holding onto his arm.

You watched Kayce's eyes look over you at Jeremy and realized Jeremy's arm was still on your chair. Kayce leaned forward and held out his hand to Jeremy.

"Kayce Dutton," Kayce said, emphasizing his last name.

"Jeremy Stone," Jeremy sounded like a little kid at Kayce's last name, and you were reminded just how large the Dutton Ranch was to this state. Even it you didn't know them; you knew the Dutton name.

"How do you know Y/N?" Jeremy asked and you suddenly felt sorry for the guy.

"How do I not?" Kayce looked down at you and you blushed.

"He's my boyfriend," You answered, glancing around the group, and seeing their eyes grow in size.

"Oh..." Jeremy looked uncomfortable.

"Yeah," Kayce smirked. "You wanna take your arm off her chair?"

You felt Jeremy slowly remove his arm as if he were afraid Kayce would pounce on him. Maybe he would? Kayce wasn't extremely territorial but that was because he was rarely challenged, with anything. But he had a temper like a grizzly bear when provoked.

"Hey man," Jeremy held up his hands. "I didn't know."

"Touch her again and you will," Kayce lowered his voice.

"Okay," You stood up from your stool, making Kayce lean back. "Thanks for tonight, I'm gonna go over there now. See y'all on Monday."

You waved bye and pushed Kayce over to where the wranglers were sitting at the bar. Kayce motioned to the bar tender for two beers and let you sit on the stool between Ryan and Lloyd. You twisted around in your seat and looked up at Kayce while he took a sip of his beer.

"Nice ears," Kayce eyed your cat ears on your head.

"So," You looked at Ryan and Lloyd. "Who called him?"

"Doesn't matter," Kayce sighed.

You looked back up at him and watched his eyes glance back over to the table of your co-workers. Looking over your shoulder you saw Jeremy looking at Kayce too.

"This is ridiculous," You rolled your eyes and stood up.

You reached up and pulled Kayce's face down to yours, pressing a heated kiss to his lips. It lasted a few seconds before you pulled back and smirked up at him.

"Take me home," You told him with a wink.

"Yes, ma'am," Kayce sat his beer down on the bar and threw his arm around you as you both walked out.
