Request - what if when Kayce meets Y/N she is already dating a long term bf they they abruptly break up and she never talks about it. Eventually Kayce asks her out and he is falling head over heels tells her he loves her it's getting serious then a couple days later Y/N texts Kayce we need to talk I have to tell you something . Kayce is worried so he leaves work early comes to meet her and she says I haven't been honest with you just thought you should know before this goes any further. She tells him that she has a heart condition (a type of arrhythmia that makes her heart beat too fast sometimes) it's not genetic so it wouldn't be passed down but it would make pregnancy dangerous for her so as much as she wants to have babies with Kayce she is nervous. And that's why her ex bf broke up with her. Right away Kayce stops her and says something like her safety is the most important thing to him as much as their babies would be cute he doesn't want to put her in danger and he doesn't want to have kids with anyone else.

You were sitting on the porch steps, a large smile on your face. Your boyfriend was currently driving his truck up the dirt road to where you had told him to meet you after work. You knew the foreman's cabin by heart now, having spent many nights with Kayce there. He pulled into his parking spot and shut the engine off.

Kayce walked over to you, a tired smile on his face. He pulled his hat off and stopped in front of you.

"You look like you're up to something," Kayce smirked at you.

"I ain't up to anything," You rolled your eyes.

"That text you sent me has me nervous," Kayce went and sat down next to you.

"Yeah..." You felt awkward now.

This morning while you were trying to do some laundry, you had picked up a stack of Kayce's jeans he had left on the dresser. When you went to turn, a ring box fell out from the middle. You didn't think quickly enough and opened it to a beautiful wedding band.

Your heart stopped and a million thoughts rushed through your mind. Slamming the box shut you stuffed it back where it had come from and shoved his jeans on the shelf in his closet. But you hadn't been able to not think about it.

All day long you thought about Kayce and your future and the two of you together...forever. But then you thought of what usually happens when people are together forever. What being in love with someone can lead to.

And you hadn't been one hundred percent transparent with Kayce about yourself.

"Everything okay?" Kayce turned in towards you, his arm resting behind your back.

"I um..." You cleared your throat. "I wanna tell you something. About me."

"Okay?" Kayce tilted his head.

You took a deep breath.

"I have what's called an arrhythmia in my heart," You looked at Kayce.

"A-what?" Kayce looked confused.

"It's a condition," You explained. "It's where my heart beats faster than normal basically."

"Oh..." Kayce glanced down at your hands gripping your knees. "Does it hurt?"

"No, it doesn't hurt per se," You felt sick to your stomach. "But it does mean there are things about my life that can't be normal like it is for others."

"What does that mean?" Kayce asked.

"Like..." Your voice was shaky. "Like big events...sometimes I don't get to have those."

"Big events?" Kayce looked at you as you nodded. "We've celebrated birthdays?"

"Not parties," You even smiled at his naiveness. "It's a health condition...so there are things I can't do because it would be dangerous for me to put my body through that."

"Baby," Kayce chuckled. "You're gonna have to spell this out for me."

"I can't have children," You blurted out.

Kayce leaned back from you slightly at your outburst. You took a deep breath.

"I'm sorry," You stuttered. "I should have told you sooner...this is why my last boyfriend left...I-I don't know why I hide it, but it's awful to think a role every woman has played since the dawn of time I can't do...because of my stupid heart."

The two of you sat in silence for a few minutes.

"Your heart ain't stupid," Kayce whispered, and you looked up at him slowly.

"What?" You asked.

"Your ex is fucking stupid," Kayce rolled his eyes. "But your heart ain't stupid."

You felt your cheeks blush.

"Y/N...I'm sorry you feel that way, but I don't," Kayce leaned into you.

"You don't?" You asked.

"I Want you baby," Kayce smiled. "Your life is most important to me."

"Don't you want babies?" You looked at him.

"Plenty of ways to have babies," Kayce shrugged. "But I want babies with you...so we'll figure out how to do that and keep you safe."

"I love you," You tried to keep a tear from falling but it didn't work.

"C'mere," Kayce pulled you in for a kiss.
