Request – Can we have one where the Reader and Kayce are out at a bar with the wranglers and some girl starts hitting on Kayce. The reader gets annoyed but tries to be polite. But then the other girl tries to fight the reader and even punches her once? You can decide how it ends.

Author's Note – Never had to make a reader a fighter LOL

The bar was smoky and crowded. It was peak tourist season in Montana so there were always more people when you would venture into town. Tonight though, you had accompanied Kayce to cool off from a long week's work with the other wranglers. Beth couldn't come, which meant you and Teeter were the only women with the crew tonight.

For the most part, you had had a good time. A few beers in and your cheeks were warm, your smile friendly, and Kayce's arm around you felt comfortable. You watched Ryan and Walker win another round of pool against Colby and Jimmy.

"I'll be right back," You whispered to Kayce.

He smiled at you while you made your way back toward the bathroom. You finished your business and glanced in the smudged mirror. Your hair was a little puffy from the humidity from the crowd, but you still thought you looked good in your jean jacket and green summer dress. Your black boots tapped on the wooden floor as you made your way back out, nodding to the women waiting in line behind you.

When you turned the corner, you paused and looked over at Kayce. His arm was still up on your chair, a beer in his other hand while he was listening to something Lloyd was saying. He looked relaxed, his lips turning up at the corners and his eyes bright. You were going to move back to him when a woman suddenly came up and sat down in your chair.

Your eyes narrowed slightly. Kayce's arm fell across her shoulders before he turned to her. He probably was thinking it was you, back from the bathroom. When he turned his head, you watched the surprised look pass along his face.

The woman smiled up at Kayce, batting her eyes and laughing a little too loudly. You crossed your arms, curious as to how this would play out.

You and Kayce had been together for a few years now and you were confident in your relationship with him. Kayce was a good boyfriend, he respected you and treated you well. It was the other women who seemed to like to dance the line around Kayce Dutton. Part of it was his last name...his daddy's ranch. The other part was he was Livestock Commissioner, and you rolled your eyes at what a badge could do to a woman.

Kayce removed his arm from around the woman's shoulders.

"Nice move, Dutton," You muttered as you slowly started to walk over there.

It took you a few seconds to make your way through the crowd, so you didn't hear their full conversation, but you didn't miss how the woman pushed her chest out to Kayce and kept touching his shoulder and arm.

"...so, what does Livestock Commissioner do?" The woman asked.

"Jesus," You rolled your eyes.

"Uh..." Kayce's eyes glanced up and he finally saw you standing there. "Y/N!"

"Hey," You raised both your eyebrows, your arms still crossed.

Kayce stood up and motioned to you as he looked back down at the woman. She was slightly older than you, her black hair cut into a sharp bob. When she stood up you saw her jeans were a little too tight and her belly button ring should have been removed about a decade ago...but who were you to judge?

"Can we help you?" The woman asked you.

"Excuse me?" You looked at her now.

"You heard me," The woman glared at you.
