Maui's POV

Time Skip... Two Weeks Later...

  I've had two weeks to sit around and mope on a lonely island. I miss Moana. I need to see her and talk things out. She probably won't even want to see me, which I wouldn't blame her. All I know is that I have to at least try. I grab my hook off of the wall of the cave I've been hiding out in, shift into my hawk form, and fly back to Montonui. The flight is only a half an hour long, which isn't nothing compared to the length of time I'm in the air when I travel to other islands and/or realms. I land on the shore with a thud. It takes me a minute to gather myself, but when I look up, I'm staring straight at Moana's face. 

 My heart nearly pops out of my chest. "Moana, hey." Moana looks at me in shock and doesn't speak right away. We stare at each other for a few minutes before I get up off of the ground. "Maui... can we talk?" "Absolutely. In our secret place perhaps?" She nods and follows me there. She downs across from me rather than next to me. I can understand that though. Moana's in a vulnerable state right now. Because of my actions, I've made her question not only our relationship, but herself. Moana fidgets nervously so I take it upon the both of us to start this conversation off. "Moana, I can't even begin to tell you how sorry I am. What I did was not only stupid, but just down right horrible. I'm in love with you and only you. Peke threw herself at me to make you jealous as well as to make it seem I cheated on you." 

   Moana sighs. "Peke throwing herself at you isn't what bothered me Maui. It's the fact that you kissed her back. You hate her as much as I do, yet you put your tongue in her mouth. The two of you kissed the way you used to kiss me. I want nothing more than to be in your arms again, but I need to be sure that you're not going to do this again, with Peke or any other girls, mortal or immortal." I bend down in front of Moana and take her hands in mine. "Moana, I swear to you that I will never cheat, break your heart, or run off ever again. If on the chance that I do have to leave suddenly, I will make sure to tell you. I love you. I don't want to mess what we have up. Our love is the kind of the love that only comes around once. Do you really want to let that go?" 

    Moana surprises me by sitting next to me on the ground, leaning her head on my shoulder. The simple contact gives me butterflies. "I don't want to let that go because I love you. Despite everything, I'm still madly in love with you. I can't imagine my life without you in it." Moana wraps my arms around her. "So are we okay?" Her smile melts my heart. "We're okay. I just want to forget about this and move on." I smile back. "Me too. Let's just put it in the past. That's where it belongs." She kisses me on the cheek. "Agreed."
