Moana's POV

The next day... Noontime

 It's about to be noon right as Maui pulls into the parking lot. So he's on time, I'm impressed. Very few guys I've ever known in my life have been early or on time besides my dad and a couple of old friends from high school. I don't speak to them much these days, but we did part ways on good terms. That's all that matters to me. I smile as Maui gets out of his very classy car to greet me. "I'm impressed Maui. Not only are you on time, but your car is literally my dream car. I've been wanting a Ferrari for two years now." He smiles back. "And I'm impressed by your looks Moana. You look clean up nicely." I blush and lean my head on his shoulder as he leads us into Joe's Diner. We get seated quickly and look over the menu. 

  Joe's Diner has every possible food one could want and more. I honestly can't decide what I want. "Having trouble deciding?" I nod sheepishly. Maui grins toothily at me. "Well how about I make this easier?" I watch him flag down a waitress. "Excuse me. For drinks, this lovely lady and I would like a strawberry milkshake to share. In addition, I'd like to order one of everything on the menu." She looks at Maui as if he belongs in the insane asylum. Quite frankly, I think he does too, but at the same time, I'm really amused right now. Maui gives the waitress the same grin he gave me a moment ago. "I'm serious miss. I want one of everything." He then looks back at me. "Does that sound good to you Moana?" I burst out laughing. "Sure, but only if you're paying." Maui nods and the waitress orders one of everything in the kitchen. When she's gone, I kick Maui under the table. 

  "Maui, are you insane? The bill is easily going to be three hundred dollars." He gives me a smirk. "I may be insane, but you happen to love my charm and find me funny. If not, you wouldn't be laughing right now. Isn't that right princess?" I sigh playfully. "You're charming... sometimes." Maui puts his hand over his heart and I giggle. "Well I'm just offended. Most girls drool at my feet. I'm known to be a guy to lust over." I lean forward across the table. "Well I'm not most girls so you're in for a treat." Maui's expression then becomes more gentle all of the sudden. "I know that Moana. Otherwise, I wouldn't be as attracted to you, both inside and out, as I am." I can feel my heart racing in the chest. I think it might burst any moment now. Thankfully, our drinks and food come rather quickly and I can have time to gather my thoughts while eating. 

   The amount of food that fills our table is truly insane. There are thirty food items on the menu plus five desserts. We have enough food to last us a month. Well at least I don't have to worry about my next few meals. The food is absolutely delicious as always. Maui and I are so in love with it that we haven't been able to finish our conversation yet. I decide to pause for a moment and respond to Maui's earlier comment. "I've been so caught up in the amazing food that I realized I forgot to respond to your comment. I'm sorry Maui." He smiles. "It's totally fine. Anyways, how do you feel about what I said?" I smile back. "I liked what you said. Look Maui, I'm really attracted to you, on a slightly romantic level. Though, I want to get to know you a little bit more. I want to go out on a few dates before I commit to anything. Is that okay with you?" 

   Maui cups my face gently. "That is absolutely okay with me. To be honest, I was going to say the same thing. Anyways little lady, you owe me some facts about yourself." I dive into telling him the basic about me like my family, my hobbies, my major, etc and he does the same. Hours pass and we don't even realize it. I've learned more about Maui than I've learned about anyone in such a short amount of time. Though based on everything I've learned about him, it only makes me want him even more. 

    Maui pays the very expensive bill and I pay the tip. After all, it's the least I can do. As for the leftovers, we split them evenly. Though, we linger in the parking lot for a few minutes. "Maui, I had a great time today. I hope we can do this again sometime." Maui leans down and kisses me on the cheek, causing my face to become an awkward tomato. "We will definitely do this again. Though, we have to keep things on the down low at practice. I don't want nineteen gossipy girls up my ass." I nod in understanding and jumping up to give him a kiss back on the cheek. "See you tomorrow, Maui." I look back at a fellow tomato. "See you tomorrow, Moana." 

Hoped that you guys liked this part of this one shot! This will be my only update today as today's been rough. I had some bad spells at work because I haven't been able to properly walk in a week. I thankfully have an appointment on Friday so I'm going to try to seek some physical therapy to strength them. Please don't be mad at me for not updating two or three times each day like I normally do in good health. -Mary
