Complicated Love (Part 4)

One Shot #24 (Cont.)

Peke's POV

Time Skip... A week later...

I've been watching Moana and Maui grope each other for the past week and it's been driving me mad. You don't know how much strength it's taken me to not grab that wench by the hair and give her what she deserves. Though, the more I thought about it, I decided it would be more fun to hurt her emotionally rather than physically. See if you hurt a person bad enough emotionally, chances are they will hurt themselves physically on their own. That's the beauty of self destruction. I can't wait to watch Moana crumble. Maui will be so annoyed by her broken state that he'll probably end up leaving her. It'd be a dream come true.

So this is my plan. I'm going to talk to both Moana and Maui at different times and tell them supposed things that they said about one another. Of course these things will be very negative things. If that fails, I'll throw myself at Maui in front of Moana and make it look like he's cheating on her with me. That would one pretty much guarantees a huge fight and/or them breaking up. I'm so excited to do this. Like you don't understand how long I've been waiting to do this. The answer to that question is ages. No will get in the way of my master plan.

 Maui's POV

Moana has some chief business to attend to so I decided to help out the fisherman down on the docks with their catches of the day. Right as I'm about to shift into shark form and make another catch for them, Peke comes sauntering down to the docks. I roll my eyes in disgust and make my way over to her, only because I'm not going to be able to avoid her any longer. It's amazing how I've been able to manage to avoid her for a week. That's a world record. "What you want Peke?" She puts on a fake concerned expression. "There's something you need to know about Moana." I tense up. "And what would that be?" She jumps up and whispers into my ear. "She only loves you because of your demigod status."

Anger boils within me. "That's not true." Peke cackles like a witch. "It is true. Moana told me herself right after you two got back from restoring the heart." I look away from Peke. I know Moana never said such a vain thing. "You're lying Peke." I see Moana out of the corner of my eye walking down to the shore with a couple of the villagers. Peke follows my gaze and smirks. She then does the unthinkable. She throws herself on top of me and tries to make out with me. Her tongue manages to get in my mouth. Me being the dumbass that I can be sometimes, I end up kissing her back due to an initial reaction. I quickly shove Peke off of me when Moana meets my eye. I can see the heartbreak on her face. She looks from Peke to me and back and runs off crying.

"What the fuck Peke? How could you do that to Moana?" Peke smiles and I'm sick to my stomach. "You didn't exactly help the situation. I mean you kissed me back with tongue and all. I hate to burst your bubble, but you cheated on Moana. Whether you want to admit or not, you did. I know deep down you feel something for me, otherwise you wouldn't have kissed back." I recoil in disgust. "I don't feel anything for you but hatred. As for me, I'm an absolute dumbass. Now if you excuse me bitch, I'm going to fix this mess." I leave Peke down on the dock without looking back at her reaction and go find Moana. If she's going to be anywhere, she'll be at our secret place. That's where her and I both go when we're upset.

I go straight there and find Moana sitting against the wall of the cave, staring at a picture of her grandmother that appeared randomly one day on the wall. I never got to meet her grandmother, but I know she was an amazing woman. I wear whimpering sounds escape from Moana and my already broken heart becomes shattered. "Moana?" I see Moana's back straighten up, but she doesn't turn to face me. I take shaky steps towards her until we're face to face. Though while I'm looking straight at her, she's looking right past me. She's so hurt she can't even look at me. My voice breaks. "Moana, I am so sorry. Please let me explain." Moana puts a hand up to stop me. "I'm willing to hear you out Maui, just not right now. Please go."

The tears I was trying to hold back fall from my eyes. "Please Moana. I need to tell you what happened." Moana begins to sob. "I can't bear to hear it right now. Just leave me alone." I punch the wall beside me and Moana jumps back. I can see pure terror in her eyes. Not being able to stand it, I run out of the cave, shift into my hawk form, and fly as far away from Montonui as I possibly can. I'll return soon, but right now, I just can't be here.
