One Shot #31 (Cont.) 

 Maui's POV

Two days later...

   I work full time at a liquor store near my apartment, which is right in the heart of the city. It's decent pay, but it's hardly what I consider my dream job. It's not my fault I'm stuck working at this job. I could have been a college student, but NOOOOOOO. I wasn't good enough in their eyes so I had to go right to work full time. As I go through my dull almost daily routine at work, I find myself becoming sad. It's a strange feeling. I'm hardly ever sad. Angry, yes. Sad, barely. I don't want to admit it, but I think it's because of Moana not calling or texting me. I've never dwelled on a girl I barely know before. 

 Six hours later...

   The end of my shift is nearing when I feel my phone vibrate in my pocket. I pull it out and see it's from a weird number. It's a text. I open it up and see that it's from Moana. I find myself feeling giddy all of the sudden.I wasn't actually expecting to hear from her again. Her text goes something like this: Hey Maui, I don't why I'm texting you because you're a scary man, but yet I'm intrigued by you. Can we meet up for lunch at the McDonalds off campus? 

    I do a mental happy dance before texting back: Sounds good. See you then. -Maui  

     I put her into my contacts and finish the last half hour of my shift with a grin on my face, which there hardly ever is. I can tell I'm going to get so attached to this girl and it's only going to fuck me over in the end. Oh well. It's just a risk I'm going to have to take. 

 Moana's POV

  I can't believe I texted that volatile man, let alone told him that I want to see him. For the longest two days of my life, I tried to push him out of my mind.... but I failed. I cracked and told him that I wanted to see him again. Why Moana, why? I could get into big trouble if I'm not careful with him. Though part of me loves the idea of being with a bad boy. I don't get much action in my life so a little here and there actually wouldn't be so bad. Well either way, tomorrow will certainly be an interesting day.
