Part Of Your World (Part 2)

One Shot #35 (Cont.)

Maui's POV

Prince Eric and I are roaming around his kingdom, observing how everyone is performing their duties. I go with him often to do this because not only am I his friend, I'm also his guard. Apparently my large stature and demigod status is enough to scare off most intruders. I've noticed that Eric has been a little out of it lately and I can relate myself. I've been finding myself longing for love that I haven't had in a thousand years. I raise an eyebrow at Eric as he sighs repeatedly. "Is everything okay Eric?" He sighs once again. "Don't mind me. My thoughts are just getting the best of me as usual." I nod understandingly. "I know the feeling. Do you want to talk about it?" Eric gives me a small smile. "I'd like that."

I lead Eric over to a wall overlooking the ocean and motion for him to talk first. "For all my life, I've been born and raised in this castle. I was alone until you came along a few years ago. Both of my parents passed away in a sailing accident when I was young." I frown and put a comforting hand on his shoulder. I feel for him. He's the only real friend I've had in my life. It pains me to know he lost his parents so young. Eric coughs a little bit. "Anyways, I'm at the age now where I want to know what's our there. I know there's more to the world than just this castle. I've always been in love with the ocean. I'd love to go sailing, on a real boat, on the ocean. I want to journey to new places, maybe even find love along the way. I've had that dream for twenty years now."

An idea pops into my head. I'm demigod of the wind and sea. I'm out on missions all the time, pulling up islands and what not. "Hey Eric, why don't you come with me on my next mission. There's a new island I'm supposed to pull up in three days time. It's actually not too far from your kingdom. Want to tag along?" Eric lights up like I've never seen him do before. "Oh my god Maui, that'd be incredible." He throws himself into my arms in a brotherly way. I chuckle and hug him back. "We'll leave tomorrow evening. It's easier to sail at night due to the cooler temperatures and constellations in the sky to guide us along the way. So you better get packing."

Eric takes off running with a goofy grin on his face. I laugh, shift into hawk form, and fly up to my chambers to get some much needed rest. My stuff is already packed because I've been planning this trip all along. Though as I lie in bed and dooze off to sleep, love begins to creep into my mind. I wouldn't mind meeting a girl on this trip as well. I think Eric and I both deserve love. We may be flawed men, but we're good people.

Hoped that you guys liked this part of this one shot! I really love this crossover to be honest. It's one that actually works really well By the way, thank you so much for over 24,000 reads. <3. :) -Mary
