Maui's POV

 A week later...

   The talent show is about to start and I'm super nervous. Moana and I have been rehearsing our butts off for this moment. It took us two days to settle on the song choice, which ended up being Anything You Can Do from one of our favorite musicals Annie Get Your Gun. I feel it's a song that sums up our friendship pretty well. I look over Moana who's pacing back and forth while doing vocal warm ups. I chuckle to myself. That's my Moana. I facepalm myself. I need to stop calling her that. She's not mine, at least not in the way I want her to be. I've been wanting to become more than friends for awhile, but me being so afraid of rejection as I am, I decided to keep my feelings to myself. 

   I take a deep breath and head over to Moana, spinning her around to face me. "Moana, relax. We got this." She sighs. "How can you be so confident Maui?" I shrug my shoulders. "I don't know, but I'd rather be positive than negative." Moana nods. She then grabs my hand and squeezes it. The sudden contact gives me goosebumps and makes my heart do all sorts of flips in my chest. 

Ten minutes later...

 We're called to the stage. Moana and I stare at each other for a moment before making our way out. The karaoke track starts and we dive right in.

As we finish, the audience is on their feet giving us a standing ovation. Moana runs into my arms and hugs. I grin and hug her back. As they continue to clap, I find myself getting wrapped up in the moment and end up kissing her. She's taken by surprise, but she doesn't pull away. In fact, she kisses me back with an equal amount of lust, passion, and love. "I love you Moana. I always have." Moana hides her face in my shoulder, smiling just as wide as I am. "I love you too Maui. I've always loved you." 

   And in this moment, I swear we are infinite.
