Mousey And The Bad Boy (Part 3)
One Shot #14 (Cont.)
Maui's POV
Time Skip... A Month Later...
I've been watching Moana from afar these past couple weeks and I've come to realize, compared to the rest of the freshman, she's actually not so bad. She's dorky, but she's pretty much the only girl who isn't putting herself out there in a slutty way. She wears clothes that fit her body just right and are classy. I should apologize to her. I've been an asshole to hear this past month when she's done nothing wrong to me or anyone else around her. After Geometry, which is our last class of the day, I'm going to pull her aside and apologize.
Kyle and Juan have been teasing me for three days straight, poking fun at me for not being as rude to Moana as I have been. To be honest, I'm getting sick of harassing the poor girl. It was fun at first, but it's gotten old. "Guys, just leave her alone. She hasn't done anything to you or anyone else." Kyle and Juan pout at me. "Aw, Maui's going soft for dorky Moana." I puff out my chest. "Um no. I'm just getting tired of picking on her. What's wrong with wanting to ease back on that?" Kyle puts a hand on my shoulder. "You're not fooling us Maui. You may be a big bad wolf in this school, but you're going soft for Moana. To be honest with you, it's sickening. It's like watching a new version of Beauty and the Beast, except it's Dorky and the Beast."
I take a step towards Kyle and look down at him. I tower over him because of my height. I'm 6'5 and he's only 5'8. "Just shut up Kyle. God. You're such a pain in the ass sometimes." He rolls his eyes and walks off with Juan, leaving me alone with my thoughts. A group of catty freshmen girls hover over me at my locker so I decide to hiss like a snake and scare them off. They mutter some insults and I ignore them. Stupid freshmen...
The end of the school day...
"Moana, wait up!" She turns around facing me, her expression a mix of curiosity, surprise, and a slight trace of fear. The slight trace of fear makes me feel guilty. "I'm not going to hurt you or anything. I just wanted to talk to you for a minute." She puts her hands on her hips. "And why should I give you the time of day after everything you and your pals have done to me? You don't deserve my time." I sigh. "I know. That's what I wanted to talk to you about. I wanted to apologize, sincerely. I'm really sorry about the pain we've caused you."
Moana looks up at me. "I forgive you Maui." I look down at her in shock. "Really? Just like that?" She takes a step closer to me. "Just like that. Do you want to know why?" I also take a step closer to her. "I would actually so enlighten me." She runs her fingers up my chest, causing a chill to run up my spine. "Because I know that even though you act all tough, you have a heart deep down inside. You should showcase it more often. Makes you come across as a person." With that being said, she casually walks away, leaving me speechless, which has never happened to me before.
Hoped that you guys liked this part of this one shot! :) -Mary
