A Broken Man (Part 1)

One Shot #27

 Maui's POV

I've been a wrestler in the WWE for ten years now. Those ten years and counting have been the best of my life. I hold the best record for wins to losses. I have three hundred wins and only four loses. No other wrestler in the WWE comes close to that record. I'm leaving the gym right now. I wanted to get a good workout in before my match against John Cena tomorrow. Unfortunately the weather is pretty crappy right now. It's snowing like there is no tomorrow. The visibility is poor and people are driving like maniacs. I'm trying to swerve around them as much possible, but I'm scared one of them might crash into me.

I manage to get three quarters of the way home before some drunk teenage guy comes speeding on the wrong side of the highway in my line, coming directly at me. Shit, I don't think I can avoid him. I make one last attempt to before his car slams into mine. The impact is rough. My front window shatters into a million pieces, many of them piercing my skin. I lose feelings in my both of my legs. Not being able to take the amount of pain my body is in as a whole, I pass out.

The Teenage Male Driver's POV

I panic and quickly jump out of my car to go over to the guy I crashed into. As I get closer, I see that he's unconscious I dial 911 and study the guy's face as I report the accident to the operator and request an ambulance. As I do, I realize that I've crashed into Maui, the famous WWE wrestler. I feel like shit. If I had know Maui was the one behind the wheel, I would have made sure to slow down.

Five minutes later...

The ambulance comes and the paramedics hop out of it to get Maui. I watch one of them lift him onto a stretcher while the other one grills me with a bunch of questions. They range from my name to what my intentions were in terms of driving. I answer everything honestly. I even confess that I'm drunk. The paramedic frowns at me. "I expected more from someone your age. I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to call the police on you." I sigh. "Do what you must. I deserve to be arrested for my stupid and very selfish actions.

Another five minutes later...

The police come and take me away in handcuffs. I take one last look at Maui before I get inside the car. As we drive away, I can't help but dwell on the miserable life I've now placed onto Maui.

Hoped that you guys liked this part of this one shot! This was another idea suggested by an awesome reader. I'm going to follow her idea, but add in some slight details and/or plot twists. :) -Mary
