I lock my phone and focus my attention back to my professor.
When class is over Professor Hicks calls me and my classmate Brian over to his desk.
I gather all my things and walk over to see what he wants.
-SINCE YOU TWO ARE THE TOP OF THE CLASS I FIGURED I'D SET YOU TWO UP WITH A TEACHING ASSISTANT JOB AT ROSEWOOD HIGH SCHOOL Hicks says. AFTER YOU COMPLETE THE ASSISTANT JOB THE PRINCIPAL WILL CHOOSE ONE OF YOU TO BE THE NEW ENGLISH TEACHER AND DEPARTMENT CHAIR.
My smile grows wider as he continues to talk.

-ALRIGHT LETS GET A PICTURE OF MY TWO BEST STUDENTS Professor Hicks says. SAY NO SLEEP! he exclaims snapping the picture of Brian and I.

He shows us the picture and we laugh at our faces before shaking hands.
-MAY THE BEST WOM-MAN WIN Brian says making me laugh.
-ITS LATE LET ME WALK YOU OUT TO YOUR CAR He suggests.
-I'M ACTUALLY GETTING PICKED UP I say. BUT CAN YOU WAIT WITH ME ANYWAY? IT IS PRETTY DARK OUT I say.
Brian nods his head and we walk out to the parking lot.
-SOO Brian says breaking the silence. YOU READY FOR GRADUATION? he asks.
-YEAH I CAN'T WAIT TO BE DONE WITH THIS ALL I state through laughs.
Brian notices me shiver and takes his coat off.
Before he can even wrap it around me Emily pulls up in the car with Courtney, Corey and Dylan.
-MAMA! Courtney yells running out of the car to hug me.
I can see him staring from the corner of my eye.
I guess he didn't know I had kids.
Emily exits the drivers seat and walks around to open my door.
-HEY BEAUTIFUL Emily says kissing me.
I kiss her with so much passion before blushing after she bites down on my lip.
-HEY BABE I say getting in the car.
Now in the car Emily straps Courtney back into her car seat and walks back around to her side.
-THANKS BRIAN GOOD LUCK I say to him with a smile.
Brian takes a look at me and gives off a weak smile.
-YEAH YOU TOO He dryly says walking away.
-WHO WAS THAT? IS HE OK? Emily questions driving off.
-SOME GUY FROM CLASS I respond. I DON'T KNOW HE'S A LITTLE WEIRD I add.
Emily laughs sending butterflies through my stomach and takes my hand with her free one.
I look back and see that the twins are staring up at their car nightlight that Emily and I bought for them while Courtney reads a book on her pad.
