Mary got Meredith from Cynthia because I had gone inside so I didn't have to see her or feel like I had to talk to her and that she had to talk to me. I busied myself with emptying out the bags my kids took to Cynthia's, and I started to put their dirty clothes into the washer as I heard my kids come into the house. Mary and Chris were telling their baby sister about everything that happened, and Meredith squealed her responses and yelled 'yay' when she really liked something.
"Mom, Meredith needs her diaper changed!" Mary exclaimed as I poured some Tide into the washer before shutting the door and starting it up.
"I'll be right on it." I sighed, before leaving the laundry room. I walked to where Mary was holding Meredith out in front of her and my baby kicked her legs and kept giggling at the disgusted facial expressions Mary was showing. I took Meredith from Mary and headed upstairs, and my daughter followed me.
"So, what did you three do last night?" Mary asked, and I sighed softly as I opened the door to Meredith's room.
"Your Dad went into the precinct and I spent the night with Meredith. Just the usual." I sighed. Mary looked at me as I started to change her sister's diaper.
"Why did Dad have to go into work? Was it a case?" Mary mused because when her father usually goes into work, I do too.
"No, I was just a little angry and he didn't want to piss me off more. Did you have fun?" I questioned, and Mary nodded slowly.
"Y-yeah... But I would've had more fun here with everyone else. I don't think I'm gonna sleep over next weekend as she asked us too..." Mary spoke, before quickly kissing my cheek and leaving the room. I turned to see as she fled from the nursery and I sighed.
I didn't want to be the mother who keeps her kids away from family just because they disagree. I didn't want to be that person.
"Mary, can you come here?" I called, and after a few moments, Mary came back into the room. I was fixing Meredith's outfit before I placed her on my hip and I sighed.
"Yes?" She asked.
"Don't worry about me, Mary. You can spend as much time as you want with your Aunt. I'll just have to get over it."
"If you-"
"No, honey. You and Chris can stay with her, but you both need to get your homework done and not get in trouble at school. Okay?"
"Okay... thanks, Mom."

Elliot got home around dinner time and we all ate in silence. Chris and Mary were tired from spending the night with Cynthia and Max, so they didn't really have the energy to say anything. But Elliot stopped the kids from leaving the table once dinner was done and he spoke quietly to them.
"So, Mom and I found out what the baby is yesterday. We were going to tell you guys yesterday once you got home from school, but then you both rushed around to get ready to see your Aunt." Elliot spoke.
"I'm sorry we didn't let you tell us, Daddy." Chris sighed, as he leaned his head against his arms.
"Don't apologize, Christopher. But, I think it's time you knew about your baby brother." Elliot spoke, and Chris' head shot up and looked at his father with wide eyes.
"A baby brother?" He and Mary said at the same time.
"Yeah, a baby brother. Liv, did you decide on a name yet for our little boy?" Elliot asked, as he looked at me and smiled.
"Charlie," I spoke, before reaching over and handing Meredith another small piece of bread.
"Charlie?" Elliot asked, surprised. He probably expected something more unique. But I loved the name Charlie and I always planned on naming my son that. It just took some time for me to actually be having a baby boy, instead of adopting the perfect one.
"Yeah, Charlie. If you would have listened to me when we were younger, you would've known that it was my plan to name our first son, now our second son, Charlie."
"Charlie what though?" Chris asked, and Elliot and I both knew that he was hoping we'd give his baby brother his middle name, just like how Max and Meredith share the same middle name.
"Caden," Mary spoke, and I grinned softly.
"Sounds good to me," Elliot replied.
"I get to name the next baby! You better promise me that, Momma!" Chris huffed, before climbing off his chair and staring me down.
"There might not be another one, Chrissy. But maybe you can name a dog if we end up getting one." I replied.
"You two are mean. So mean. Actually, all four of you are mean, even Meredith!" Chris huffed before he ran off. I looked at my husband and he had an amused expression on his face.
"Our poor little baby is even mean. I never thought I'd hear that." Elliot laughed, before looking at Meredith who didn't seem bothered at all by her brother's outburst.

Chris wasn't really that angry, just kinda disappointed that he didn't get to help name his baby brother. He thought it was unfair because he is the only brother that this baby is going to have, and he wanted to be the one to help decide. So while I got him ready for bed, I allowed him to give his baby brother another middle name, and he decided to just give Charlie his middle name.
"So, Charlie Caden Nathaniel Stabler?" I asked, and my son nodded happily.
"Please, Momma! Then he is really my brother!" Chris giggled, as I tucked him in.
"He's already your brother even without have your middle name as his. His name is huge for him just being a tiny baby." I replied. Chris nodded, before looking at me and smiling.
"I guess we can get rid of his second middle name. You are my Momma, and you are his Momma too. That makes us siblings."
"Yes, it does. But if it means so much to you, darling, then he will also have your middle name. Now, I'm gonna give you one big kiss then you need to sleep."
"Okay, but on my nose," Chris replied, and I smiled. I leaned down and kissed his nose before resting my forehead against his for a moment.
"I love you, Chrissy. I am so lucky to have you as my son."
